Minecraft 1.8 (newest update) multiplayer problems?

I'm trying to connect to a server I play on but when ever I try to connect it says scanning for local games, it just sits there loading. I've tried reinstalling the update resetting the game, i even tried uninstalling player skins but it just keeps sitting there loading. I don't have any texture pacts or mods on. If anyone knows how to solve this problem i would love to know.

What's the best Skin maker for Minecraft?

I use MCSkin3D at the moment but I'm horrid at shading and I heard Photoshop works but I don't want to pay for it. So is there a better skin maker?

Minecraft.net won't let me sign in?

On minecraft.net, I wanted to change my skin for my character. But, when I go to log in, I enter my email and password and then click the sign in button and then it reloads like it normally does but this time it doesn't show I'm signed in! I've tried maybe ten times now and it's getting slightly fustrating.

How to set up my purchased copy of Minecraft on my account?

I set up my Minecraft account today and during my set up right after I pressed the button to redeem the game and download it they shut down for maintenance. Now every single time I try to install a skin from Minecraftskins.com it has an error and says that I don't have the game! What do I do?!

I can't log in to minecraft.net, what do I do?

Okay, so I can log in and play minecraft just fine, but I want to change my skin, and I went to minecraft.net and went to log-in, and it asked me a security question because i haven't logged in on this computer before. So I was like, "Okay, I know what my sister's middle name is." I put that in, says it's wrong, asks me for my Dad's middle name. So I'm like, "Okay, I know what my dad's middle name is." So I put that in and it still said it was wrong. I now have too many failed attempts for no reason and I can't change my skin. The frick, Mojang?

My Minecraft skin won't work?

So about a week ago i changed my minecraft skin. It will load if i go into singleplayer games and it will load in Lobbys. Like for example if i were to join the Hive server my skin would be there but when i join a game, hide and seek for example, it goes to the original Steve skin. I've tried to use at least 4 different skins and they are all doing the same thing. I've tried changing my version to 1.8, 1.7.10, and 1.7.9. They all do the same thing. Any way i can fix this?

Minecraft 1.8 isn't working properly?

When i try and load a world it doesn't load textures properly, the trees are black, the world under my feet is clear, with lava and water showing. Animals seem to have skins even the achievement page isn't working. I've tried to what a little to see if it loads and iv'e tried deleting all the minecraft folders located at %appdata% (except saves). Also when generating/loading world the green loading bar doesn't appear at all. Using a resource pack didn't fix problem either
i would much appreciate if some one could help me out.
