How to open a chest in minecraft with a macbook pro on a mousepad?

What happens when you right click (two finger click on trackpad)? Can you configure it in the Minecraft settings?

Control-Click.

Even better, turn on right-clicking in System Preferences. (This is assuming you have a newer MacBook Pro, which has the mousepad where the whole mousepad is the button):

- Open System Preferences
- Click on Trackpad
- Make sure the "Secondary click" checkbox is selected.
- The default option is "Click or tap with two fingers". This means that to right click (and open chests in Minecraft) you have to click anywhere with two fingers.

You can set this to "Click in bottom right corner", which does exactly what it says: click on the bottom right corner of the trackpad to do a right click. A left click is done from the bottom left corner, or pretty much anywhere else on the trackpad.
