How do you play as a different minecraft skin in offline mode?

I often play minecraft offline and am not very fond of the default skin, however changing skins from your account does not carry over to offline mode for some reason. I've tried methods such as replacing the 'steve' image in the version folder and deleting the meta folder but that only causes the launcher to delete the version .jar and download a new one.
Any ideas please anyone?

Should he know I'm a furry.

I'm asking because we both have an youtube channel we share, upload on, stream on, you name it. But I have some furry artwork on my pc. And I'm the one who has to record / edit mostly because his pc can't handle that all. Which I'm fine with. Because we're very good friends. I have his personal email. He has my personal email. We both sometimes call eachother on google hangouts. Skype. But for youtube videos we use Discord… So ya we're very very close friends. Almost like Family.

I don't know if he knows what a furry it tho… And if he does not he will prob google it… So if i do what should i tell him it is… I think by how i act it is kinda hinting. My minecraft name has "Dragon" in it. My minecraft skin is an Furry. And I my discord pic as an animal for a while but he never brought it up.

My parents do not know tho…

Added (1). we knew eachother for most of our lives. From like 3 years old.

Minecraft File Path on Windows 8?

I'm having a bit of trouble with my Minecraft file path. As I look through the internet and my friend sends me his minecraft worlds to play on, I find that my Minecraft File Path is different than others. People are saying that I need to use Users > (my username) > AppData > .mincraft > saves. When I find Minecraft, my file path is Documents > My Curse > Curse Client > Minecraft > and then Minecraft PTRData and SavedGames. This is different from others. I also tried using this path to apply a skin (instead of doing it the easy way because I'm an idiot). Could this because of when I unzipped the file? When I search.minecraft, the only place it is is in the MInecraft PTRData. I paid for Minecraft. This is a new computer. Can anybody give me clear directions on how to install Minecraft correctly, with the correct file path. I can get to the Minecraft page and download Minecraft.exe and launch, but, there should be more. I'm pretty sure that this was not a problem on my old computer. As this is a new computer that I'm running Windows 8 on. Could that have anything to do with it? My old computer used Windows 7. Really, the thing is is that anything I do to manipulate and modify these files fails. They don't seem to directly connect to Minecraft. Also, as you help me with this, please give me instructions on how to prevent this from deleting my minecraft game saves. This maybe be an easy problem to fix. But pleae help, Thanks!

I was wearing a Katelyn skin (Katelyn from aphmau) on minecraft. Then, this girl was like "Nuuu change it!" "It changes my perspective on aphmau so change it" And then some other girl was like "She's just a huge fangirl" I don't know if that person was talking about her, or me because I had Katelyn's skin. Anyways, am I just sensitive or was it actually rude of them? Should I really change it? I mean, I wear it because I like Katelyn and I feel cool like I'm actually her. Its not hurting anyone, and I've seen other people with Katelyn skins. I later found her with an Aphmau skin! Aphmau and Katelyn are from the same series. I confronted her about it, and she said "I have my reasons" Wasn't she being a hypocrite? Anyways, it doesn't seem as fun having it now because of her. But I really like Katelyn, so I do wanna keep it. Should I really change it? :"( Thank you for reading this and no mean comments please!

Minecraft PE 0.16.0 Skin Change Won't Work?

Well just when the new update came out I wanted too change my skin so I clicked on the button with an cloth hanger image and my game will just crash. I try to resolve the problem by uninstalling the game and installing it again but it won't work. Please it anyone knows who to fix this quite common problem it will be much appreciated. ~Matthew

Minecraft Skins not showing up? - 1

When I'm on an online server (or single player) My own skin or other skins aren't showing up, but my other friends can see my skins while I can't see theirs.
