I watched a video telling you how to get ips people on a minecraft server and in cmd i did tracert <the server ip> and then it listed some ips, and I was confused. How do I know which player was connected to which ip? So, to shorten this question, how do I connect the player who is online on the server to the ip found on cmd when the tracert command was done.
I set up my minecraft server using a tutorial on YouTube, and everything works fine. So after I start the server, and go to direct connect on multiplayer, I type in the server ip box "localhost" and I get this message: java.net ConnectException: Connection Refused: no further information: and when I type in my own server ip, it comes up the same, except it says connection timed out. Can someone tell me what's goin on? Also i'm real bad with computers so please say it in English.

Okay here deal, i'm working on a custom version of the FTB monster pack, finally i was ready with the server and there seems to be no problems. But whatever a player joins the message comes 
None of the mods adds a unlit touch, Have anybody got the same problem before?
Hi so i'm looking for a good small (10-50) minecraft server, I would like It to be pvp and also have the ability to get other players heads, and also to have an economy, everyone please reply and thank you.
OK, obviously this isn't a question, but I run a Minecraft server with some friends and we're desperate for some people to join! This is one way I could get some attention as our humble little server opened to the public this week and we can't afford big flashy ads… So, here goes:
Our server is called PixelCheeseCake and it's a survival/PVP server but we do RPGs sometimes too. Our server is absolutely free to play on and us Admins are on a lot of the time to help you if you're stuck or play with you if you're lonely. We currently have a little under 10 members, 2 of which are admin and are on a lot of the time. It'll only take a little of your time to test out the server - even if you don't enjoy it, we'd like to know what you think and how we can make PixelCC better in the future. Our server is whitelisted but if you just message me your name or Skype me (Hollz100 is my skype name) then I'll add you! Or, you can fill out a form which can be found on our forums.

I know I'm going to get **** for this, so if you're not into hacking and cheating, leave right now. Does anyone know how to install god mode on minecraft so it works on servers too? I have windows 7 if it matters.
When I join a friends server using 1.4.6 in Minecraft I can craft the things it lets me in the inventory spot but when I use a crafting table it spits out the materials I put in it on the the ground and closes the crafting table gui before I ever get to finish arranging the materials to make the item I want. I never even get time to his the craft button. But when I play in my world on 1.4.6 I can craft just fine. I don't understand why it's doing this, The last time I had minecraft installed it didn't do this.
I'm wanting to try out some new minecraft servers, i've only really ever played hunger games/survival games on minecraft so what are some of your favorite servers and what do you do on those servers?
