Can you play newer updates of minecraft on an older server?

Please help! Minecraft recently updated to 1.7.5. I have a bukkit server with a ton of mods and a really cool world that i've been using for years. I'm port forwarded correctly, and my server runs without errors. But its a 1.6.4 Server and all of my friends who have updated to 1.7 can't connect. Do I need a 1.7 server? Because bukkit doesn't have any stable releases of one to my knowledge. Can we all just download 1.6.4 and not update and play on my server until bukkit releases a stable 1.7? Sorry if this is nooby i'm not that network savvy.

Minecraft - Internal Exception: java.io.IOException: Connection reset by peer?

So recently, I've been playing on my friend's server. I've only been on the server for a few days and was doing a few days of Trial-Mod for the staff, but lately, whenever I try to connect to the server it displays this message after a very long "Logging in" screen: "Internal Exception: java.io.IOException: Connection reset by peer" I refreshed a few times, and managed to get in, but today, no matter how much I refresh or exit and change my Minecraft profiles from the launcher, it still displays the same message, no matter how many times I try to get in! Anyone got any answer for why this is happening? Is it something to do with my computer? I use a mac, also if that changes anything, but if if you want to test if it's just me, the IP is 5.9.196.37:25719.

What happens to a person after they have griefed on minecraft?

Basically I was griefed on a small server and the staff didn't even care because they're friends with the guy who griefed me. To get revenge I griefed him back with a friend of mine. My friend noticed that he made a post on the server website about wanting to know who griefed him and now I'm getting a little nervous because I've never griefed before. I don't care if I get banned on the server. Is IP banning the only thing that could happen to me? Should I be worried about my username being posted around websites? Should I be worried about my IP being posted on the Internet and possibly being hacked? The server is small but once had a bigger community. Nowadays only about 7 people are on at a time. It's pretty dead.

How to Host Your Own Website?

I was wondering if there's a way to host your own website, like with a server. I know you can host minecraft servers with a server but can you use a server to host a public server?
