How to remove lag in minecraft?

My friend created a server in hamachi and the game runs perfectly on his computer, but when I log into his server i have really bad lag; it takes 2 minutes to get a response from the game.

The funny thing is when I connect to his server using his Wi-Fi, the game is completely fine. But that means that we can't play from each of our houses.

Same Wi-Fi= good game performance
Different Wi-Fi= bad game perfomance

Is the lag caused by his computer or mine?
What can I do to reduce the lag?

We're playing the 1.7.5 version of minecraft, if that helps in any way

How to run a Minecraft Server without having to open the.jar file?

Ok, I made a minecraft server. Hooray.

problem, people can't join at specific times. Which times?

When my computer is asleep or if the.jar file isn't open.

What I basically mean, is that I made a minecraft server for my friends. They can access it and all, but I want to make the server so that they can access it ANYTIME they want. The only times they can access it are when the menu thing that you could type in commands like "help" or "?" or like "/ban". If that isn't open AND/OR if my computer is asleep, nobody can access my server. NOT EVEN ME! So everytime i want to go on my server, I go to direct connect, type in "localhost" and BAM! I can't access it and I have to waste the time to go open the.jar men file thingimijige.

I NEED THE Help OF SOMEONE WHO WILL GIVE ME A STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTION THAT WILL TELL ME HOW TO MAKE IT So THAT I CAN ACCESS MY SERVER WITHOUT GOING THROUGH THE TROUBLE OF OPENING THE.JAR FILE!

How can I run multiple minecraft servers on one computer with different external ip address's. I'm going to be hosting my friends server, and mine shortly. But I need to know how to have two different external ip's both on port 25565 so the players do not have todo 76.65.232.565:76595 with the port on the end.

Minecraft New Survival Server! Come one JOIN us?

I'm a middle school student, and have a minecraft private survival server, there are only four friends play in my server, include 2 operator, but it still a little bit bored. There's few minigames in my server for fun: Spleef, CTF(capture the flag), paintbal, and a small hunger game (still creating). And there also have some fun plugins, such as crackshot(guns) and shop and warp(you can tp to the place by /warp).

Minecraft Multiplayer LAN Server Over Bluetooth?

Me and my friends are going on a bus ride that'll be about 8-10 hours long and we will all have our laptops with us. Since there will be no static Wi-Fi or internet connection on the bus is there a way I can set up some sort of LAN server via Bluetooth or another service so that all of us can play together? Or does the connection between our laptops (about 4 of us) have to be wired for this to work? If so, how can I do this? Any advice would be great, thanks!
