When I join a friends server using 1.4.6 in Minecraft I can craft the things it lets me in the inventory spot but when I use a crafting table it spits out the materials I put in it on the the ground and closes the crafting table gui before I ever get to finish arranging the materials to make the item I want. I never even get time to his the craft button. But when I play in my world on 1.4.6 I can craft just fine. I don't understand why it's doing this, The last time I had minecraft installed it didn't do this.
Why can't I craft anything in 1.4.6 of Minecraft?

It's likely a server problem, bring it up to the server owner. There might be a chance other players are experiencing this.
