Can't find certain mobs on Minecraft (1.7.5)?

So when i created a new singleplayer survival server, I set it as peaceful. Recently I changed it to easy/hard mode because i realized I needed string, and things from monsters. On my first night of hard mode, I killed one spider and a few skeletons. I was pleased to get string and arrows. However after that, I started not seeing anymore spiders. (I'm trying to make a bow and i need at least 3 string!)
I also can't find wolves. I roamed through LOTS of biomes: Extreme hills, forests, swamp, desert, plains, flower forest, birch forest, Roofed forest, Savanna, Hills. And… Yea I'm looking forwards to tame wolves but unfortunately it's not happening -.-
Also, here are specific biomes I have been looking all around for but just CAN't find! Any type of Jungles, Mesa, Mushroom Island, and I'm not exactly sure if I've been through a Taiga, but i probably have.
So. Yea. I'm also looking towards to find villages/villagers to trade. I hadn't crossed a single one yet.

Minecraft Server Opening in May?

In May, I will be opening a server that will be called The Floating Minceraft. This server is based off of hermitcraft and Mindcrack. You will have to submit an application to get on and only a few at a time will be accepted. Depending on how the server is running I may open more slots. Why is mcmulticraft.com allready taken?

I have a minecraft server named mcmulticraft but the domain is allready taken. All it says when you go to the webpage is "Default Page". Why would they pay for a domain that they do not use?

So i didn't mind waiting a bit you know When i talked my name was {cooltrainer}_____ and i was happy when i did /fly i could fly i had gotten my shiny. Until today Monday when i log onto the server My cooltrainer title is gone & my shiny pokemon i can't do /fly anymore says i need permission. The owner is on but when i chat him he won't reply, Now you must be like well maybe the payment didn't go through well it did the money was taken from my bank account all $37 & i'm stuck without my titles & shiny pokemon. Normally i wouldn't care $37 isn't much but why should i give it away for free? So i want to issue a chargeback How do i approach this situation?

How to port forward a Netgear router?

Hi I'm having trouble port forwarding a Netgear CG4500BD. I want to portforward 25565 for a minecraft server my my brother and I. I use Cox Cable And Internet. In my settings I can't add a custom service it just has Port Forwarding and Port Triggering separate not Port Forwarding/Port Triggering just to be clear.

How to get rid of my port from my minecraft server?

I made a minecraft server and i put my port in it. When i played it i didn't do the right one so i did more research and it says i need a bukkit server. So i went and got a bukkit server and it was making it and then it says it can't bind the port maybe it is running on another server. So i did a stupid thing and i thought once i got rid of all the files on my first server it would work so i deleted them and went into the recycling bin and deleted it. So i went back and tryed it and i guess its still running…

1. Can i recover those files and if so how?

2. Can i shut it down withut those files?

Port forwading - I have 2 routers, but I don't know the IP of the second one?

I'm pretty new to this stuff but I want to port forward my minecraft server.
Now, I have been able to do this in the past, but now we have a new router, a Netgear WNR1000v3, and whenever I try to go to 'routerlogin.net or 192.169.1.1 and I forward the port, I can't join my server and my friends can't join either, I do can join on the local host, but not on the global IP
I don't know the IP of the second router and basically don't know anything when it comes to these things, if someone could suggest some things that would be great

I have two LEGAL versions of minecraft. How do I play with my kid?

My 5 year old is really into minecraft and wants to play. If I create a server she can connect to it and play, but if she creates a server I can't connect to it. It must be my firewall? I bought TWO copies of minecraft. Her cities are much nicer than mine so it'd be more fun to play on her server.

Here's how we connect.

1. I start a single player game and "open to lan" it gives me a number.
2. I go to IPCONFIG in CMD and find my ip.
3. She writes it in if it's not there (after the first time, it always is unless she accidentally erases it)
after the I{ and the ":" she enters the number and connects to my minecraft.
4. Unfortunately, I can't connect to her minecraft even though our computers are virtually identical and on the same network side by side. Neither of us can connect to the servers outside, if there are any.

I realize this isn't elegant but it works in one way. For owning two games that cost around $50 together it's frustrating.

Added (1). I'm using Windows 7 firewall and have even tried to turn it off to no avail. I haven't yet done any changes to the router because I don't know what ports minecraft uses.
