Will a PC gaming controller work for minecraft PC?

I'm new to PC gaming and I want to use a controller for minecraft PC version cause using a mouse gives me slight headaches for some reason, + I'll be in a car for 24+ hours and using a mouse would bounce me all over the place,

I know the question sounds stupid but like I said, I'm new to PC gaming

Pc's that can play games with no lag?

I want to play games like dayz, minecraft, tf2, horror games, gmod, and other steam games. The quality doesn't have to be that great just no lag. Also i do not want to build one just buy one and add a couple things to it. Under $400

Can you Upgrade the graphics card on Asus a54c Laptop?

I have a asus a54c laptop and I was looking to upgrade its graphics card and maybe its processor so it can run games like Simcity, Gta Iv, and Minecraft with no lag at all.
