Why won't minecraft start and how do i fix unrecognized windows sockets error?

I just finished buying minecraft and i downloaded the launcher got java 64 bit version the latest one. When i opened the launcher an error ocurred and i can't play. Something about unrecognized windows sockets and that it can't download the remote file, i have a good Wi-Fi and i don't have any firewall blocking it ( at least i don't think i do ) and here is part of the message it says the rest is just repeated and i have been trying to fix it for the past 2 hours and can't figure it out.

What's weird about my personality?

I was talking to my mom about getting Minecraft and when she said that I can buy it, I was really excited. I dance when I'm excited and I'm a good dancer, but when I'm not trying I dance very awkwardly. And I'm also very perky, insanely quirky, and random at times and I basically always look to the bright side instead of being very negative. If you watch Disney's: Austin and Ally, I'm basically the real life Dez, only smarter.

My mom put me down saying that "you make people uncomfortable because of the way you act. Your just… Weird". Coming from my mom that just hurt. I admit that I'm very weird, but in a good way. I'm just being me. Do you guys think I'm weird with how I described myself?

Looking for Good Quality Headphones for Around 50$?

And I'm currently looking for a very flexible (as in many uses) and affordable headphones that I can wear in public without looking like an idiot. I also play a lot of video games like Tomb Raider, TF2, Minecraft, Skyrim, ect. Like I mentioned, my budget is about 50$, but if it's really not worth it, I can do 75. I'm currently thinking about getting the Sony MDR-ZX600's, but if there's something better, please let me know!

How come Minecraft Forge won't open for me?

I tried to download Minecraft forge for 1.7.10, but it will never open for me. The launcher opens but it doesn't start up the actual Minecraft. If you know anything please tell me.

How to record minecraft without lag?

I plan on making minecraft youtube videos when i get my microphone but whenever i try to record, i always get random lag spikes and random frame drops. When i play minecraft without recording, i get about 160 fps. Whenever i press the record button, it goes down to 60fps and after a few minutes of recording, a very big lag spike appears and i get 20fps. I use fraps to record and i have full size selected because i want hd videos, whenever i record with half size selected, i get about 80fps without any lag spikes but its not hd:/ and i own a windows 8 laptop. Please help and if you need any more information about my laptop or minecraft or fraps, tell me c: Thank you.

Minecrafters, help needed?

Never have I ever kept a world in Minecraft. So as I was creating a new world today, I put it on creative and turned off cheats and the other thingy that stops villages, dungeons, etc.

When I clicked "Create World" it went onto the loading screen, and just stopped on Converting World. I have been angrily attempting to resolve this issue for the past 40 minutes, and I'm getting extremely frustrated. It won't close, either. So I have shut down, logged on and off, and jumped on my computer about 4 times. Each.

Please help me before I punch a hole into my computer screen irritation.
