Pixelmon is a mod, as in something you can download to change the game to however the mod programmed it to be. Mods only work on the PC for now, but you can buy Minecraft on the PC for $27 if you want.

Pixlemon is a mod (user created addon) for Minecraft.
The Xbox 360 version of Minecraft does not support mods.
If he wants to play this version he'll have to buy Minecraft for the PC and then download the mod there.
(and before you ask, Minecraft on the Xbox 360 and Minecraft on the PC are totally separate programs. You can't play with people who are on a different version than you.)
