Can't play videos/Bad FPS on minecraft?

Hi, lately i have been getting really bad lag on my youtube/twitch/hulu videos. I mainly watch videos on youtube and when i watch them on youtube i usually have to put them on 480p or sometimes even 360p and they still won't load. I can't even skip through the video at such low quality. The only game i play is minecraft and i usually only average from 10-20 fps, i only get 40 when i stair at the sky and there's nothing… And it's minecraft! Not some game that needs a good graphics card. I don't know why i'm having problems loading 480/360 videos. If i could get an answer that would be awesome, thank you!

Computer Specs:

Name/model: Acer Aspire r7-571(first model, not second}
Age: 6 months(from best buy)
No viruses
Barely any used memory(I only have google chrome, twitter app, skype app, spotify, dragon assistant, and minecraft installed atm and i run ccleaner every single time i log off my computer)
1080p screen.

Internet:

I have the highest speed internet available from time warner and am currently connected directly to my modem by a wire.
Speedtest.net: i average 15 ms, 114 mbps download, and 6 mpbs upload
(I'm pretty sure it's not my internet… Just incase you wanted to know}

Things i have tried:

Re-installing windows 8.1(i don't really want to do this again because it took a whole day and i had to re-install everything so yeah…)
Switching over from firefox to google chrome because of adobe flash.
Scanning my computer for updates constantly and updating it.

I have a minecraft minigame idea is this possible to create?

So I have this awesome idea for a minecraft minigame. So we build a tower that goes about 150 blocks up (just a estimate) and in the tower we place blocks randomly to climb up the tower like Parkour but at the same time lava flows and fills up the tower causing the players who are slower in the parkour race to die. So its basically a race game to the top but at the same time lava fills up the area so it makes it somewhat harder.

I wanted to know if this laptop would be good to run Minecraft smoothly and some other games like San Andreas Multiplayer.

Thanks for your answers, in advance!

Added (1). Also, if you think this laptop isn't that good, please say what you would recommend. I'm gonna use it primarily for school work while gaming frequently. Price has to be lower than £550
