I'm looking to create a minecraft server off the computer I'm gonna play it on. It'll be a private server for family and close friends, 2-6 players, I'm not sure if my computer would be strong enough though. What would be some recommened specs to run the server?
I'm on it but I don't know how to get my friends on the server because it's on single player like it told me to download it on.
So i had my server set up and it worked fine, i haven't played on it in probably 2 weeks and now when i try to open it, it opens for a second or two then closes right away. I'm on minecraft 1.7.10 if that matters
Okay so I was making a minecraft server and my IP isn't working, obviously the localhost works but for even me and others the IP won't work. I get this;
Java.net.connectException: Connection Refused: no further information:
Help would be appreciated!

I have created a minecraft server before using port forwarding. I could never connect locally, but that wasn't a huge issue. I just got a new router AND computer, but I can't seem to successfully open a fully working server. I can open the server fine, and I can connect as localhost if I so choose, but locally it is impossible for people to join. Externally people can't seem to join either. I have opened a port and everything, but it doesn't seem to work. I have looked up the ability to add "? Override=true" to the end of the other computer's ip addresses, but that doesn't seem to work. It only seems to work on the online, website, browser type servers. Any suggestions?

I'm trying to connect two accounts to multiplayer in the same house. I've checked canyouseeme.org and it says my port is open, but from my public IP address. When we tried to connect with that number (the one you get from googling yourself) and port it doesn't connect at all. When we connect using the IPV4 and port, the second person can connect to my server, but only for less than a minute before getting a "Connection Timed Out" error. I've already added an exception rule to allow all access through my Norton Firewall. What else is there?
I only need it for playing cus my 1 gigabyte MSI runs minecraft with like 10 - 20 fps, but don't talk about the server things, if i open my server its like 10 fps!
if the video card what i've written doesn't make it faster please write a cheap(up to 250$) good video card what runs minecraft fast, Thank you!
Why do I have tons of hearts on my minecraft server and how do I fix it?
Added (1). On my Minecraft Bukkit server, everyone suddenly gained around 400 hearts, and we have no idea why, none of the mods do that, and we have no potion effects, Please help!
Okay so I'm subscribed to Skydoesminecraft on youtube and of course I'm on his server, I love playing on it with my friends, especially his assassins creed mini game, but a few weeks ago, I tried to join it and it said, your account has been permanently disabled, and the word permanently was in red and underlined. Was I banned?! I've never been banned from a server before and don't hack or do anything wrong I don't spam the chat and most of the time I have chat hidden because sometimes people can be harsh in the chat. I wasn't doing anything wrong and I was about to joint levels PVP (another thing I really miss) and then it went to the your account has been permanently deleted. I checked everyday since and it always says the same thing, none of my other servers are doing it. What should I do? I want it back!
