Basically I was griefed on a small server and the staff didn't even care because they're friends with the guy who griefed me. To get revenge I griefed him back with a friend of mine. My friend noticed that he made a post on the server website about wanting to know who griefed him and now I'm getting a little nervous because I've never griefed before. I don't care if I get banned on the server. Is IP banning the only thing that could happen to me? Should I be worried about my username being posted around websites? Should I be worried about my IP being posted on the Internet and possibly being hacked? The server is small but once had a bigger community. Nowadays only about 7 people are on at a time. It's pretty dead.
What happens to a person after they have griefed on minecraft?
Regardless of what happens in the game, petty revenge isn't the way to solve problems. You've learned a valuable lesson here: some people are just *****. Doing the same back to them only causes more problems and when you just ignore people like that, they get bored and leave you alone.
So basically, no your ip can't get banned, nothing important would happen and the worst scenario possible is that you get banned from the server IF they find out. If its a vanillia then there virtually no possible way for them to find you unless one o then is a super hacker, then they will trace who was on during that time but even then it would be impossible unless you and your friend were the only ones on at the time. So in other words, you shall be fine and don't worry about it unless they discover you, then youll be banned and thats it. Now wht questions me is that if hes close friends with the staff, why didn't he just get them to rebuild anything and to spawn him the stuff he lost?
