How to kick the minecraft drug?

Well, easy way of putting this, I turned 16 in October, got a laptop for it, and bought minecraft-big mistake.
I now play feed the beast, another big mistake…
And well I'm now addicted to this, it's like a drug, it doesn't help that because i'm 16 I jave GCSE's coming up and all I wanna do is game and not revise… Any way I can kick the Minecraft drug?

Why won't minecraft work?

I have bought minecraft for:
17.95 GBP but when I logged it let me downoad the launcher so I logged out after and it said play demo I signed back into my minecraft account on the website and it said buy minecraft or play the demo what should I do?

Cheap and reliable desktop or laptop?

I'm looking for a computer that has at least 8 gigs of ram and can run my elgato and play simple games like minecraft and handle video streaming. Here's the catch, I'm looking for one that is in a cheap price like around $500 and at most $600
Any suggestions?

Is spending too mcuh time on the computer bad for my health?

Ok so I'll admit I spend a lot of time on my Computer. Playing games like Minecraft or Dota 2. I don't go out a lot since I havea bunch of friends from other cities and we chat with Skype and play games. Since i'm 8 hours in school everyday I can only play on the holidays. And I do play alot. I was wondering what can spending so much time on the computer do to my health? I Know it can damage my vision. I already have glasses. You see my parents keep scaring me and telling me that if you spend so much time on the comp. That my brain cells are dying and that kind of stuff. I mean now i'm really scared like can something happen to my brain? Can you get really forgetful or dumb? D:
They also tell me I should go outside and that in kinda antisocial. I mean is that really bad too?

Do you think I will have time to do all this in one summer?

I plan on playing through the Halo series(I'm already on Halo 2), Sonic the Hedgehog 1-3 and Sonic Adventures 1-2, a few installments in the Legend of Zelda series, Metroid Prime series, Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, Final Fantasy 7-10, Super Smash Bros. 4, Kirby Triple Deluxe, Pokémon Fire Red, Injustice, and maybe the Arkham trilogy. If age is a factor, I'm 14. Also, my sister works at a camp near a boardwalk, where I spend a lot of time playing Tekken and other games at the arcade. So do you think I will have enough time to do all of this? We drive down to the boardwalk and that is about 3 hours so I can play the 3ds games then. I also play a lot of Minecraft, and will probably quite a bit of that to. I also am in the Summer Reading Program at the library, so that might take some time away from my goals.

We stay at my cousin's lake house and the have a Super Nintendo, so I will probably play some of that also. So overall do you think I can do this? Is this sound to nerdy or like I have no life?

Problems with Display Driver?

I'm a huge fan of Minecraft, and I really got into some of the modpacks. There was an error in my hard drive that prevented me from doing anything, so i sent it to get a new one. When I got it back, I had some problems. Whenever I played a modpacks for 5 - 10 minutes, the screen would go black, come back up and say "Display Driver has failed and reopened", or something like that. I can't find a solution that works, because I'm always missing something for some reason. I'm using Windows 7, please help me!

Why are monsters are not SPAWNING in Minecraft?

I have minecraft and everytime it's night monsters are not coming out, I don't know why! And no, I'm not playing on peaceful… I tried all the difficulty levels but they are still not spawning. :/
