Most noticeable crash error things: Pixel format not accelerated

No OpenGL context found in the current thread.
Also, if the problem is with my graphics drivers, how do I get a new updated one?

Minecraft will not launch?
Okay so I know I have really stupid and invalid reasons as to why I want this money but my parents really can't buy it and don't have credit cards for some reason. I've been waiting a really long time, around a few months to play this new game that combines Minecraft and Pokemon together with my best friend who already has it. I've been dying to play it with her and since school is ending soon i really wanted to play it. If someone could give me 10.00 on paypal it'd be the nicest thing in the world! I have Minecraft on a Toshiba Satellite. It is less than a year old & has Windows 8. I downloaded Minecraft the other day & it is lagging HORRIBLY! I tried setting the settings to the lowest they could go, & it's still lagging!
So for my minecraft channels 1000 subscriber special, I'm planning to to do a mash up of different cool pvp kills i've done. I'm not sure which song I should use. My choices are:

What PC specs do I need to run ftb and related modpacks on med-high settings with 40+ fps? I only have $600 to spend on it.
I have a price range of $400ish so please list some laptop that can run minecraft good enough to enjoy! It can be over $400 but please keep it low!
I just got a new laptop and trying to play, and I'm trying to make a crafting table but when I pick up the wood from my inventory I can't add four pieces of wood into the crafting section because it won't allow me to drop one in each slot, why?
It started when i closed my minecraft (1.7.9) and restarted, i went to open my single player world and java crashed. I retried this 6 or 7 times to get it working, each time java crashed. I updated my java and now when i load a world it sends me streight back to the launcher, it also does this when i create a new world. I have tried resyarting and multiple vanilla installs.
