How to record Minecraft Gameplay?

I'm running Ubuntu unity 12.04. I have tried several video recorders but the videos, when opened on an editing software isn't everything I recorded. (Only part of it)

I need a desktop computer?

So, I currently only have a laptop. I don't play many games, only The Sims 3 (I'm definitely getting The Sims 4) and Minecraft. I need a desktop horribly, espcially if I want The Sims 4. Could anyone recommend a desktop for me that's not too expensive that could run those games? I'm so dumb with computers honestly, so I have no idea about requirements or anything.

Is there a parental monitoring program for windows 7?

So i'm 13 and I have been grounded for along time. I found a way I can play games like minecraft and skyrim on my computer, but a while ago my stepdad said he could se what I was doing on my computer. Was he talking about my history? If so I of course I can fix that. But is there a legitimate program that monitors the computer and the programs it is running? And if there's, how do I detect and remove it from my laptop? (I'm running windows 7, toshiba laptop, and I'm a administrator, but my stepdad has a second account.) Please no stupid answers!

No minecraft username working?

So I went to finally buy myself minecraft and I went to enter the username I wanted. It was taken, which was disappointing so I thought I'd try some variations and maybe some completely different things. None of them worked. I was getting pretty frustrated and started keyboard mashing in some usernames, they all still showed up as taken! So, my question is basically why is this haooening? I checked the rules of making a username, the # of characters and all that, and everything I typed fit. I'm getting so frustrated, and help would be so appreciated.

How to make a paint image have a transparent background instead of a white background?

Ok, so I play a game called Minecraft. You don't have to know what it is. But basically, in the game you can change the textures of any item/weapon you want by going into the texture file and editing it in a paint program. I changed a weapon in Minecraft using MS Paint. The file of the weapon is basically a white square with the weapon displayed in the middle. The problem about this is that when I open up MInecraft, the weapon is pretty much a white square with the weapon in the middle. That's not what I want, I want it to only show the weapon and not the white square. The reason why it did that was because I pressed cut on certain areas, making the background white technically, so it shows up in game as a white square. How can I make it so I save the image so the background isn't white, but transparent?

When i play games on Laptop, it always lag?

Well I have a laptop the Acer V5-473p with intel Core i5-4200U 1.6GHz with Turbo boost upto 2.6Ghz, and intel HD Graphics 4400, upto 1792 MBB dynamic video memory. Then When I play the Prototype, Minecraft/Assasins Creed/Left for Dead/Counter Strike. Lol. They always lag at screen, when i move my mouse the game is running slow. Is there a problem?
