I recently bought ps3 minecraft and the vanilla game gets old, I'm wondering if I could download a mod onto a USB drive then transfer that to the ps3. Is that possible? If so what are some good mods to use.

I installed these, I think, 4 days ago, and yesterday it started to crash everytime I went into one of my single player servers. I tried going into my other single player servers, and it doesn't crash. It doesn't crash in multiplayer either.
I decided that maybe the Lots O Mobs and the Furniture mod weren't compatible together, so I deleted the Lots O Mobs mod. I tested it out, and that server will still crash.
Is it something wrong with the server or the mod? Because a lot of people have that mod and I haven't heard about any crashes like this from it.
The server is a new server and I haven't built much in it, so I can delete it if it's something wrong with the server.
If it is the mod, I can delete that too. Or if it's forge I can uninstall that, I just don't want it to keep crashing.
I have Minecraft 1.7.10 with forge on a Mac Mini, if that's a factor in this.
Do you know what I can do to fix this?

UPDATE: my friend has the same mod as me and the same minecraft version, but on a PC, and she hasn't crashed yet, so it might not be from forge or the mod. But, still, I would love some help on this!
I have Mr crayfish's furniture mod and I want another mod like it because his doesn't have very much furniture. Also I've tried mca but it just stuffs up is there another mod that I can get that's like it and aloues you to have kids and get married, I've tried millioner but it was silly.

I'm starting a LOTR adventure map on minecraft. I have forge 1.7.10 because it requires it. Also, besides the LOTR mod, I have the 1.7.10 backpacks mod.
Is it possible to install a 1.7.2 mod, Mapwriter, on 1.7.10 forge? If so, how?
I've tried every version of rei's minimap with minecraft and it won't work, I've heard you just move the zip into the mods folder (I have forge) and it should show up but it won't come up in minecraft at all.
I want both of the mods, but I want them together. So I just want to know if they can be played together, dogs and pokemon.
Version 1.7.10 works fine for me but if I want to play any older version of Minecraft I get this error. I didn't mod any of.jar files and I don't want to. I also uninstalled older versions of Java (I'm currently using Java 7 update 60), reinstalled Java, restarted computer numerous times, reinstalled Minecraft but none of this work.
I looked under development console and all went fine when I switched to version 1.7.2 until this (I couldn't copied all):

I really don't know what to do and need help (any fix that I found on the internet doesn't work).
I downloaded Attack Of The B-Team on minecraft and I can't sprint. It happened with mods before, but there isn't even an option in controls for sprinting.
I'm a full on noob when it comes to mods. I do not know how to get mods and install them. I researched about Crazycraft and came upon a VoidLauncher, it won't work for me and I don't want to use that and I prefer a way without using WinRAR or something like that. Anyways I hope some one can help me. Thanks!
Added (1). Oh and I already saw a youtube video. You had to switch files into.bin and the kid was installing X-ray mod. I think the title is "How to download minecraft mods without using winrar"
