Mo Creatures for Minecraft 1.7.4?

I recently downloaded and installed(after much difficulty because i'm a noob at modding) the Mo Creatures mod for Minecraft. It works, but I can't access the Custom Spawner settings like normal. I have installed it, but I can't change anything on it. When I go to mod options in-game i get some words on the middle in red that say "test 1"
"test 2"
"disabled"
What does this mean? How do I change spawn settings? Because barely any of the Mo Creatures mobs are spawning in.

A small survival Minecraft server with some decent mods?

I just want to find a chill server ran by people that aren't 13 and isn't a faction server! Want to find one to stay on for a long time and trying to bring friends!

Minecraft is going So laggy?

I have tried EVERYTHING. Optifine, clearing RAM, messing around with the instillation of Java etc. Deleted a BUNCH of files to see if it would help but nothing. I've made sure I only have one version of Java (64 bit) I'm on a Packard bell notebook but it shouldnt be a problem because I play other games with a high graphic demand and it runs perfectly. But minecraft just lags and lags and lags All the time. It jumps from 40fps down to 3 then back up and down again its so annoying. I've tried mods video settings, everything! Is there anything else i can try? Thank you in advance

Are mods okay to use in minecraft?

So… I was wondering if mods are okay to use in minecraft. I've recently switched to PC gaming from hardcore console gaming and obviously in the Xbox and Playstation mods are considered a sin: L so for me hearing that mods are okay from Notchs' tumblr its kind of a shock to me? I'm use to everyone being like NO MODS ARE BAD etc. And I have downloaded OptiFine for 1.7.4 to boost my FPS and its worked quiet well. I have also downloaded Feed The Beast but that always crashes or doesn't respond upon the launch of Minecraft 1.6.4. And everyone says mods are okay and its almost weird to hear it? So really what I'm asking for here is proof that mods are okay from a reliable source. I see people like Syndicate using the feed the beast mod but I don't know just because of how Xbox and Playstation orientated I've been for like my whole life and how everyone frowns on mods makes it almost a difficult thing to except that mods are okay if you understand where I'm coming from. A answer would be greatly appreciated.

What's the best Gaming PC build for under $500?

Hi! I'm looking into building a gaming PC since I've heard it's best to build one rather than buy one. However, I'm looking for PC Parts which all in total would cost me around $500. My Family doesn't have much money to spend more than $600.

Here are some PC Games i play often:

1. Counter-Strike Series
2. Grand Theft Auto IV <-- (one of the reasons for new pc)
3. Garry's Mod (can barely play at about 20 fps.)
4. Minecraft

Not only i need a new pc just so i can get these games to run in great performance, but also because I'm into multimedia! I Make Youtube Gaming Videos, and I'm also into Game Programming. However i can't do much of those 2 in this current pc i'm using.

Especially, Grand Theft Auto IV. One of the 2nd games i play often, but i can only run it at 17 fps on the lowest setting and i also get disconnected in multiplayer often because of the lag.

Anyone have any recommendations on what pc parts i should get to get both my media work and GTA IV to run at a great performance without any trouble?

How to install mods for Minecraft? - 1

I have a Windows 8 Toshiba laptop and I want Atmosmobs, but I don't know how to install it. I know there are tutorials and stuff but I don't really get them, ha ha.
Any help would be very appreciated.

Can't mod minecraft without it crashing?

I renamed all my files and and copied an pasted them in a new folder named 1.7.4 mods and opened json file and renamed it and then opened my JAR file deleted the META and dragged my mod in then created a new profile with the modded version and launched minecraft and it crashed so i kept trying and it wouldn't work does anybody know why?

Minecraft mods (forge mod loader)?

Is there another way to insrtall mods like the twighlight forest mod in minecraft as every time i install forge mod loader my minecraft messes up like sometimes i can't get into my world or i'll play a few seconds in it and then it would say shutting down server or simething like that then it would freeze then a black screen would come up and this is in my single player world by the way. I really woud like the twighlight forest mod.

I keep trying to run a.jar file but it always unzips it?

I'm a bit of a noobie pc gamer and i'm trying to install mods for minecraft for the first time. Whenever i try to run forge it unzips it instead of running the installer, any body know why?
