Is Python becoming more popular than Java?

I know some Python and I know some Java. To the best of my knowledge, despite Java being used for a few big-name games such as Minecraft and, oh yes, Minecraft, the main uses of Java currently are for Android apps and server software on enterprise servers, and occasionally for some embedded software.

However, I've also been getting the impression lately that Java's popularity has been declining while Python's popularity has been increasing. It seems more desktop applications are being based on Python than on Java, and that companies and projects are turning more to Python on the server for an easier and lighter solution than Java. Plus, Python is much bigger in the open source application arena than Java.

So am I correct in my perceptions? Is Python's popularity really increasing while Java's popularity is decreasing? Or is there more going on with Java than I know of?

Minecraft server version change?

How do I change the version of the server client my Minecraft server is currently running on, it need to be 1.8.1 to be able to play on but my friend is having issues entering Minecraft 1.8.1, so I wanna make my server 1.7.10, how do i do this.

Moded Minecraft server permissions?

I'm an admin on a modded Minecraft server running the new direwolf 20 pack on Minecraft 1.7.
We're using the permissionsEX plugin.
what I need to know is what permission node do I need to add to allow use of the open blocks mod's inventory restore command.
( the command looks like this:
"ob_inventory restore <playername> <inventory backup filename>". )
Also if there's a permission to add use of specific commands like the one mentioned above, what would be the proper way to set that up?

Can't connect to mineplex (Minecraft)?

Okay, so yesterday i bought the hero rank (Subscription) Around 3:00. A helper said it takes around 24 hours to get the rank. Now, being 4:58, I get a message while trying to join mineplex; Connection Lost, Could not connect to default or fallback server, please try again later: io.netty.channel.ConnectTimeoutException.

Could this be about me getting the rank, or just bad connection?

i know the server takes a minimum of 10 min to hack because its been hacked before
its called MC Shatter

Its my first time with minecraft and i downloaded it so i can play with my girlfriend who is next to me. I went to local games while she had a open server and the options to the server were set to "Open" so that i can join i know this because my girlfriend's mom was in her server playing with her. I know Minecraft is safe, but someone said multiplayer isn't, but I also heard that it would take an average hacker 6 weeks straight to hack into a minecraft account because the client and server only trade game information. Is this true or is it not safe to play online?
