Can't Connect to Server because of School Admin Blocks?

So, started a Minecraft server with a plugin that will run it for peeps at my school, and it works fine for everyone involved. Except for at school, the Wi-Fi we must connect to blocks access back to my computer running it. I've done my research and only found sites/programs/other servers seem to work for blocked sites in browser, not a program. I've spent too long trying different Proxys, VPNs, SSHs, etc…
Anyone have any experience in this matter?

Where can I get water to freeze? (Minecraft)?

I've been playing minecraft since alpha and stopped playing from 1.6.4-1.8, but I'm playing it again now. But it appears I've missed quite a lot in terms of mechanics of water.

Anyway lets cut to the chase. I'm playing on a realms server and I want to make an ice farm. In what biomes can I do this, or can I just do it somewhere high up where snow will fall on land?

How to play games on Minecraft?

I'm a Minecraft noob and I have the pc version. I want to play the diversity game and to do that I have to install a folder or whatever but I don't know what to do with that folder. Please don't tell me I have to pay more money or something T-T Thank you!

Minecraft Server 25565 Port Closed?

I'm trying to create a Minecraft Server, but with no success. I'm using BT internet and put my port in, however whenever I check my port it says that it is 'closed'.

What dpes this means and what do I do? Please give me some step to step instructions - i've been trying for a while now.

This is my second time posting this but I couldn't get any useful answers before.

By the way I have opened the ports in firewall, but it still says its closed and I have the same java net socket problem

Added (1). How do I open the port in the firewall of the server and where do I locate the firewall?

Added (2). Also when I try use this server I get a java.net error. What does this mean?

Good Minecraft Server Provider?

I'm planning on renting a server that will support a maximum of 10/15 players. I would like there to be minimal lag. No mods--straight vanilla w/ no plugins at all. Regular old, sweet Minecraft. How much does a heavyly modded minecraft server cost?

Me and a couple of friends want to start up a private server for ourselves using the YogsCast Complete Pack (or something a little smaller if we can't get the pack to work) but none of us are sure how much it would cost for a server to actually handle a mod pack with around 250 mods in it and handle maybe at max 15 to 20 people on the server at once.
