I know Minecraft is safe, but someone said multiplayer isn't, but I also heard that it would take an average hacker 6 weeks straight to hack into a minecraft account because the client and server only trade game information. Is this true or is it not safe to play online?

It is safe to play online in my experience, i have had the gme since it first came out pretty much and i play multiplayr with my friends all the time, i've only experienced one hacker in my game and he blew up my house about 6 months ago, so overall out of how ling i had it, i would say your safe bro, just don't invite random people, try to play with people you know.

Does that mean an average hacker would spend six weeks trying to hack into someone's account? Who has six weeks to just sit there all day long trying to hack an account?
If your password is sufficiently secure, it would take the average hacker 6 million years to hack it. If you got real sloppy with your password, it might be hackable in just hours. Use a secure password and your account will never get hacked.
I've played online for years, and I've run a server for years, and neither my accounts nor my server have ever been hacked.
