Minecraft LAN worlds not working?

Me and my brother wanna play minecraft LAN world server. I turned the server on on my computer in my room and it doesn't show up on his computer i don't know what's wrong can someone help me please?

How to connect to my minecraft LAN server because it won't work?

So i looked up tons of tutorials and nothing has worked. We and my sister are playing on the same router and everyone we enter in our ip the server comes up saying there's no connection. We tried direct connect too and it doesn't work. Any thoughts?

Minecraft Forbidden Magic Crashing Server?

I have a modded Minecraft server with other mods, we want to get into Forbidden Magic, but we having a crashing issue. The issue is when the server starts up it goes through all the regular loading and then starts, and a couple of seconds after crashes.

What version should we be using? Our server is 1.7.10 (Mod_Cauldron_1.7.10-1.1236.05.212.jar)

Is there any dependency mod aside from Thaumcraft, as that works and the other addon mods work as well.

Admins on the server i'm on are annoying, as they're theives, they cloak themselves, though sometimes i know they're there. How can i see them? ( I really don't care if you have to suggest a cracked client)

So i made the server etc. But when i check if the port is open/when my friends try to join they can't. What ip do i give them? Also do i have to add them to my firewall?

My modded minecraft server won't spawn anything from the mod, what happened?

So I created a modded server with the sports mod on it. However, it won't spawn anything from the mod or even when I craft the objects. I downloaded a map and put in there but i'm not sure if that the problem.

Minecraft Spigot 1.8 Server Issues?

I was making a Minecraft Spigot 1.8 Server a couple minutes ago and I managed to do it all. I typed op (username) in the start file and i was opped, The plugins showed up and I was able to use commands such as //wand but I couldnt break blocks or go to creative mode or even do /help but funny enough I could do /toggledownfall, anyone know what the problem is?
