A couple of years ago I was on a server where the randomly generated map was divided into a grid system and each player got a certain area for themselves. There was also a map online to see where everyone was at. It was perfect. Anyone know of any other servers like this?
Keep in mind, I'm not looking for a creative plot server, there are plenty of those around.

I have been online looking at youtube videos trying to create a multiplayer minecraft serever for 1.7.2. Everytime i did what the person has done on the video i keep getting process complete and logged out. I've tried this process several times for a week and soon gave up. I also looked at different way to do it. I just don't understand, I'm using a macbook retina display. Also this part isn't a question. But if anyone has a serve they wanna share that would be great
I can open the program if it is on my desktop but as soon as I move it into a folder it says It no longer can access the file because I don't have the permissions. I also can't delete it for the same reasons. Anyone know how to fix this?

I made a bukkit server so me and my friends could play together in minecraft. I port forwarded and the server IS working and not blocked by my security but I can't figure out what ip to use. I used my computer ip but it doesn't work. I can join with local host but my friend can't. Can someone help?
I have recently bought minecraft and I have tried searching for methos on how to set it up, both on my laptop and computer, however every method for 1.7.2+ versions, .jar and.exe i've tried but haven't worked and I would really like it if someone could help me with clear steps from start to finish.

I tried to to
/tpa (myname) (friendsname)
but it just sends a request to myself. And i can't use /tp because then it says i don't have access
I want to teleport to them, not them telelprt to me
