What ip do I use for my bukkit server?

I made a bukkit server so me and my friends could play together in minecraft. I port forwarded and the server IS working and not blocked by my security but I can't figure out what ip to use. I used my computer ip but it doesn't work. I can join with local host but my friend can't. Can someone help?

You can always try whatsmyip.com

Yougetsignal.com will test whether the port is open AND tell you your external IP. Your external IP is what your friends will need to connect if they are not connected to the same router as you. If they are connected to the same router, go to command prompt (cmd) on your PC. Then type "ipconfig all" and find "IPv4". This is your internal IP, and (as long as you are connected to the same router) your friend can use this.

Note: When testing an for an open port, be sure to have the server console running at the time. Ports are like locked doors. Port Forwarding unlocks that door, but you need something, such as a server, to "open" it.

Hope this helps.

As Bob said, use the ip you see from whatsmyip.com
