Can't resolve hostname on minecraft survival game server?

The server I go to goes through periods where it works and then through random periods where it doesn't work. It says "can't resolve hostname" but I have been on this server plenty before so I know the IP address isn't wrong. It is a minecraft survival game server. It's really annoying because I have Wi-Fi connection and bought the game. Help?

Added (1). Also, my friend can get into the server so the server isn't down. I'm really confused…

What is a good mincraft server hosting?

I'm not paying more than 20 bucks a month. I want 50 player slots.

I could use some help port forwarding my minecraft server?

So once i go log in on my router and go to where i can add a new one i need to fill in these:

Server name: minecraft server
Access activated: yes
Public start port:?
Public end port:?
Protocol: a choose between tcp and upd
LAN start port:?
Local IP Address: not gonna tell you

so i don't know what to fill in at the?-spots could you help me?

Minecraft forge kicks me from server

So me and my mates have been playing on our custom modded server using forge. I can join the server but after about a min it kicks me (it also kicks me as soon as i open my inventory) We have tried port forwarding disabling all possible firewalls and even removing all the mods from the server and it still kicks me.
I should also add that we played on a tekkit server and it still kicks me.

Make me a minecraft bukkit server?

Ok so I have made a hamachi server and it didn't work out now my friends tell me I should make a bukkit server but i don't know how to port forward and it's just to hard for me and I'm stupi with computers. If someone can just op me and my friends make it super flat I would be so happy if you make it I will give you a shoutout and let you be co owner
To op me my username is scalesthelizard and I will op my friends. I want it super flat with it on survival turn off animals and mobs until its up and running and let me know the ip and how I can get on if you do make one. Please tell me if you can and thanks in advance. And also maybe also add some plugins like the spawn plugin and things like that thanks again scales.

I can't get into my MineCraft server?

Everyone else is able to connect but i can't. So i reset the server and it lets me log in but only for a min and it kicks me and everyone off and the server stops by itself. When i get on i'm just floating in the air and can't do anything, such as commands, when i type a command in, nothing happens and nothing pops up on the chat thing.

I'm looking for a Minecraft Survival server thats not too crowded, simple, friendly, where I could buy a plot in a city, build a house and even build a shop in the city. I liked one called Tekkro but its deserted now.
