Where is the best place to advertise a new gaming community?

Recently (Oct 27th) me and a friend decided to start a gaming forum over at http://allforthegamers.com

2 weeks ago we set up an official minecraft server

we have about 100~110 users (friends, friends of friends, etc) and about 85~95 banned spam bot accounts that got to the forums through google crawling.

We're looking to grow and expand the community now, what are the best sites to pruchase advertising space on to get quality members (people who participate in the community) ?

Minecraft Splash potions don't work?

Ok this one server that I play on for minecraft is messed up for me. MY splash potion work then don't work sometimes. When I throw them down they just don't do anything for some reason. Its really getting annoying and the server is really big and the admin won't do ****. But the weird thing is that my pots work on every other server?

Me and my two friends are in the process of purchasing the game, and I was wondering how the servers worked and how we'd be able to play with one-another.
We want to have a private server where we can just mess about in, and i'm assuming the only way of doing that is through web hosting? Or are there private servers within the game itself?
What about a single-player type mode?

24/7 server for 2 people?

Me and my brother have recently started our own vanilla minecraft server, however we found out that if I'm not online then my brother can't join the server on his own!

We've looked an apparently you can't both host the server together.

So it seems like we need to rent a server, but we have no idea where to start!

We don't need anything complex as we'll probably playing in vanilla and we won't be using much TNT
The server will only be for the two of us!
Preferably something fairly cheap aswell.

Minecraft server won't let others connect?

I have made a private server for mine craft. I have set it up all the way but when i go to multiplayer i can't see my server, but i can still join by direct connect then typing localhost. Then i can get in but the problem is my brother has a mine craft account as well, so he does direct connect then localhost and gets nothing what seems to be the problem I'm new to this server business please help.

Anyone have a minecraft server that will let me be admin or co owner or mod?

Survival Minecraft server?

I'm looking for a GOOD survival server, with multiple people. I've done cathalcraft, legitplay, and deadlox. I'm NOT LOOKING FOR survival games! Or hunger games! NO. NO SURVIVAL GAMES. I'm looking for straight up vanilla survival, and it would be nice if you could protect your land, and private chests.

How to make a Minecraft server picture?

Most servers I've seen have pictures next to their server sorta what it's called, like TheHive is a picture of a bee. How do I actually make my server, (FireBenders) have one of those?
