Hi! So I have the latest version of minecraft and I haven't been able to connect to any servers at all. My friend tried connecting to the same servers and had no trouble at all. Every time I try to connect I just get "Connection time out" Which annoys me. I really want to play with my friends. Please help!
Added (1). My internet connection is pretty good, not perfect but pretty good
I have followed the tutorial appropriate to my router (Netcomm) on portforward.com and have tried to open up the port 25565, the default minecraft port. I use my external ip address and add:25565 yet I can't connect to my up and running server on version 1.7.2. No one else can join it, and when I used PFPortChecker, it said neither TCP or UDP could find 25565. Any help?

I want to turn the server textures off but I can't see server textures in the options can you please give me step by step instructions on how to find it (I have optifine installed)
I'm currently making a website, and one of the sections/links on it is to my servers page. I want to mention names of games (e.g. Minecraft, Garry's Mod, etc) but I don't know if I'm allowed to due that (copyright problems, etc.) Would I be allowed to say that I host servers for a game on the website?
I'm wondering if there are any "easier" ways of getting players on your minecraft server.
I know there are sites like Planet Minecraft, I've posted my server on most of them.
I've even posted my server on reddit.com/r/mcservers
But the amount of players is extremely low (10 players online max)
Do you know any efficient and fast method of getting players?

This minecraft server: op.nationsking.com is connecting to everyone but my minecraft can't find it…
this is not the first time a server has said it is down for me and up for everyone else like bosspvp and some others even hypixel at one point i went to command prompt and pinged the server so my network is reaching it
I play on a variety of minecraft servers and it is not just one but its starting to bug me because every server I might play for like 5 mins then I disconnect. It's not my internet because I play with people on skype and if it was my internet the skype would crash as well. And my computer is solid so I don't know what keeps happening
I wanted to know is there anyone who can make me a minecraft server. I really really need one and please don't tell me "It's eazy to make!" and stuff like that it just doesn't work for me!
