How well will this run games?

Minecraft - Can you make a flying potion in Survival Vanilla Minecraft?

I know you can change potion effects with command blocks. I have made a teleportation potion with command blocks. I want flying potions because I want to do a flying PvP with my friend. If you can't have flying potions, how can you make a jump boost and speed boost effect last forever?

P.S: Can you include a seed for a giant plains biome with some forests and waterfalls, lakes, and rivers?

How to make Windows 8 recognize my new GPU?

A few months ago, I bought a new gaming computer. I didn't think I needed a good GPU because I mainly played Minecraft/Terraria/Older Games etc…

However, I started up a YouTube channel and so I started to play games like Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag and it was running at about 10 FPS if I'm lucky.

Anyway, I went on the maplin website and bought myself a 'beast' of a GPU (according to reviews) and installed it into my computer. (I made my own computer and so I didn't bother to take it to a computer shop to have it installed).

I thought I had done it all correctly until I booted up Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag and again, it was running at about 10 FPS.

So I then went into control panel > display > change display settings > advanced settings to see what GPU my computer was running, and it says AMD Radeon HD 7560D which means it's running my motherboard GPU…

Anyway, I was wondering if someone could tell me how to make windows 8 recognize my new GPU?

I have updated all of my drivers for the GPU to see if that helped at all (but it didn't)! I'm running on Windows 8 if that helps?

Sould i buy Dayz or a MC cape?

Lets start to say that minecraft is my main game and i can buy a cape for 10$
But there's this game Dayz that costs 23$ and i al really doubting. What would you guys do?

I'm 14 and hardly know anything about desktops
I'm looking something that can handle games such as minecraft etc

I don't really mind if it is slow on word, I can handle that
The price range is 0-300

If you could show me a good desktop that is good for that or a site that has desktops that would be great

Gaming laptop under 1000?

I've done some research and i really liked the lenovo ideapad y510p but i then found out its not available in australia! Anyway i want laptop pretty much as close to that as possible. The games ill mostly be playing are Minecraft, FTB, Portal and counter strike on max settings, but ill also occasionally play higher demanding games like battlefield and crysis. I also want a a backlit keyboard and no touch. 15 inch to 17 inch is fine. Battery life dosent matter too much.

When watching a Let's Play series on Youtube, do you prefer silence or commentary?

I've recorded a few of my game sessions, not entirely sure if they are worth uploading so I may not do it.

But do you prefer the player being silent so you can pay attention to the game or do you prefer them commenting on everything?

In my opinion it depends on the game. Games like Minecraft or Dayz should be commentated (Yogscast and Frankieonpc) while story driven games like The Last of Us and The Walking Dead should be done in silence.

I want to know what you think.

Which laptop i should i get?

Ok so i've done some research and found 2 laptops that are under my budget. I'm mostly using it for gaming and watching videos and movies, but also web surfing. The games i want to play are Minecraft, Portal 2, Counter Strike and similar games. However i was hoping for it to be able to run games like battlefield 4 and Sim City? And just overall which laptop is better for the price?
