Launch Minecraft from a USB?

I'm trying to get Minecraft to run from a memory stick so I can play at school during lunch breaks, I followed all steps from here: [Read the link first] Just to double check I have a 'Datafiles' folder, a 'Launcher' folder and 'Minecraft Launcher.bat' inside of a folder called 'Minecraft'. Inside 'Datafiles' I have the '.minecraft' folder and inside 'Launcher' I have 'minecraft.exe'. This is all on a USB that had been encrypted with a type of secure volume browser. I have been told when I run 'Minecraft Launcher.bat' it will launch Minecraft if done correctly but when I run it nothing happens (Apart from the CMD window opening). Also, my school has gone and restricted us from creating.bat files in school so I was wonderign if this would be a problem.

I just downloaded the minecraft app for a long road trip that I will be going on. So on this trip I'm planning to play minecraft, but I just want to know if minecraft has to use internet?

What is the best cheap laptop?

I wanna get a laptop but it can't be too expensive (below £350)
I'm gonna use it for things like browsing the web, watching YouTube, Netflix, writing documents. Also play a few games like Minecraft.

Which would be the best choice? Intel Pentium and Celeron is out of the question, cos I found that they're not that good any more.

Minecraft: My iron golem disappeared? What?

I don't know the physics to iron golems. But I spawned two villagers and made a house for them to live in near mine. I made an iron golem to protect them, and it's been there for a while but I realized earlier that it was just gone with nowhere to be found! I've searched for a while but he is simply gone. Did he despawn because there are only two vilagers? Or something else?

Minecraft slime farm

I need help I built a slime farm and its 16 by 32 and four blocks above bedrock. But no slime has spawned I've had zombis skeletons spiders and creepers spawn but no slime. There's no torches on the ground and I always play on hard. So please tell me if I need to do something else or if I did anything wrong. I will much appreciate it.
