Hey I'm (trying to win an argument) to find a game that will suite my dad. He is an older adult almost in his 70's, a doctor, very stoic, and has no interests other than food and current tv-drama. Any suggestions? (Current thoughts are civ 5 possibly or minecraft)

Added (1). I can't download Java on my school computer b/c i don't know the admin user or pass, and even if i found out i would be in trouble. I downloaded minecraft and every time i click on it it says it needs Java runtime SE 6, when i try to download it, it says there was a network problem, except my interent network is fine 100%. I looked this up and the solution is downloading the newest ver. But i also can't download it for teh same issue

My neighborhood has been having squirrel problems for a long time now. Everytime we set up cages or glue traps or sit outside and shoot them, they always end up coming back. My room is in the corner of the hhouse, say, the bottom left corner if you think of it from above. Its also upstairs. I can hear a lot of sniffling and scratching. Well today i was on the pc playing minecraft when i heard the noise again. I alerted my dad and he came in to listen to it. Then my pc turned off suddenly. I can't turn on my lamp either so all of the electricity in my room went out. Not to mention that my sister's room, in the bottom right corner, power also went out there. Everywhere else in my house is fine.
Also my father said that it didn't sound like a squirrel. Anyway, do you think that the animal did something? Should we check the attic? Where in the world could the animal even touch electric cords from the roof/vents?
I have had this PC for a while. A few months ago, it started crashing whenever I play games, even Minecraft. Before, it never crashed. I used GPU-z to check the temperature. The fans were running at 96%, the GPU was at 99% usage, but the temp. Got up to 104 degrees Celsius after running the game for a couple minutes. At this heat, it crashes. What is happening?
Everytime i die, i will spawn at the place where i first spawned (as i started the save).
the place where i made my home is a bit far away from that and it sucks to walk all the way there.
without having cheats on, is there a way to "set the spawn place" to a location i desire? Can i change the coordinates somehow?
if not, give me an alternative i can try so i don't have to walk so far.
I was wondering if I could play minecraft 1.7.9 on my iphone because I'm jailbroken and my pc isn't portable and I don't have a laptop.
Ok so i have been home schooled all my life becuz i have lots of desses and things like that and my mom finally signed me up for some classes at a school. I play on minecraft and i get bullied 24/7 i have only 1 friend but he moved so now its a 1 hour drive and my only friend is my own cat and video games! I'm kinda good at mnaking friends i just don't want to be beaat up or anything becuz the schools in my area r horrible i'm so scared and nervous i know i sound like a wimp but please help i need avice on this thanks
