Can't record in MineCraft?

I'm using Fraps but for some reason I can't use hotkeys while in-game because nothing happens. I check the screen and movie folders and they're empty. I've tried different hotkeys and even reinstalled both fraps and minecraft but it didn't help then just now I opened Fraps as an administrator but still nothing.

I don't know what to do but I don't think Fraps is the one with the issue because I tested it with Counter Strike: Source and it worked normally so it has to be minecraft. I also tried recording MineCraft with a different recorder but it still didn't work. Like I said, I re-downloaded minecraft (deleted.minecraft and redownloaded the minecraft.exe, etc.) so it's an unmodified client.

How to fix a java registry key error?

I'm sort of a computer novice, but I know very well what I'm doing. I can't install java because of a registry key error, and third party software isn't working. I took it to Geek Squad, but they said it would be way too expensive to fix. What do I do? I JUST WANNA PLAY MINECRAFT!

Desktop or the Laptop?

I could either build a desktop or get a laptop. The thing is that it is for my birthday and I'll have to pay a portion of it and has to be <$1100.

What I'll need it for:
- 3D Rendering(At Least for MC Animations)
- 50-60 fps gaming during recording on games like Minecraft
- Video Editing
- Game Development

Compared to my friend these are nothing, he started off with a $1500 build now altogether it's over 2000. Oh and btw, we're <16, but I have 4 years of coding experience, 3 in 2D animation, and 2 in 3D animation(but I slacked). Should I also include that I have a talent for music(piano and vocals)?

How to port forward minecraft?

I have a netgear nighthawk router. I tried setting it up on the router configuration page; didn't work. So I let it through firewall and it still won't work. Its getting very annoying. Like I'm about to punch the ******* computer annoying.

Minecraft on my MacBook Air won't ex out?

Ok so a few days ago I closed my mac and opened it on minecraft and it was frozen on the settings page. I just randomly clicked a few times and the whole minecraft page turned black. It lets me minimize and maximize and all that other stuff but it won't let me ex out! It's really annoying I hope y'all can help me and I don't want to restart my mac or anything I just want to ex out of minecraft.

Should I get a MacBook Pro or MacBook Air?

So, I'm asking for a laptop for Christmas since I will be going to college next year and this laptop has to help me with my major (focus in Digital Media).

I like how lightweight the Air is, but if a Pro is better for my needs, then I will ask for that.

I need a laptop that will be good for:
-Art programs (Photoshop Cs5, Illustrator, Adobe Flash, etc)
-Video editing/film making
-Great storage/memory
-lots of itunes storage
-Good for occasional gaming (Sims, minecraft, etc)

I'm not too good with deciding storage space, screen size, all that stuff, so please recommend what specifications would be best for me as well, since I have to relay this information to my relatives who are getting me this laptop.
