Where do you go to buy minecraft 1.8 and how much does it cost?

I want to get the latest minecraft but I don't know where I go to get it or how much it costs.

You can go to minecraft.net or you could go to walmart or gamestop target etc and buy a minecraft card.(located in the gift card/game card section) It's 26.95
