I have a netgear nighthawk router. I tried setting it up on the router configuration page; didn't work. So I let it through firewall and it still won't work. Its getting very annoying. Like I'm about to punch the ******* computer annoying.
How to port forward minecraft?

Note that many routers do not do loopback (LAN2LAN via WAN IP), so you might not be able to access your minecraft server by your public IP from a client on same LAN.
Is your modem just a modem or is it a modem/router? One way to tell is to go to canyouseeme.org and see if what it shows for "Your IP" agrees with the WAN IP of your Netgear router. If not then either you also need to forward the minecraft port to the WAN IP of your Netgear router on your modem/router, or you are behind another NAT router at your ISP (especially if using mobile data).
