Should I get a MacBook Pro or MacBook Air?

So, I'm asking for a laptop for Christmas since I will be going to college next year and this laptop has to help me with my major (focus in Digital Media).

I like how lightweight the Air is, but if a Pro is better for my needs, then I will ask for that.

I need a laptop that will be good for:
-Art programs (Photoshop Cs5, Illustrator, Adobe Flash, etc)
-Video editing/film making
-Great storage/memory
-lots of itunes storage
-Good for occasional gaming (Sims, minecraft, etc)

I'm not too good with deciding storage space, screen size, all that stuff, so please recommend what specifications would be best for me as well, since I have to relay this information to my relatives who are getting me this laptop.

Pro, more ram, disk cabibility and it is better in everyway except for how light it is. Air looks cooler but is a much worse cpu

Get the MacBook Pro.

It's more expensive but;
has a stronger/faster processor for handling all the art programs, and will render faster for video/films

Has better Intel Integrated graphics for gaming.

As for storage, 500GB will be enough to store your videos/games/programs, etc.

Would also recommend 8GB of RAM since you do film/picture editing and gaming.

Screen size is preference. Either one is fine for what you do.
