The title says it all, I can't order parts and make the desktop myself, and I know how to use a computer, but I don't know much about the specs and what is needed, please leave links or names… Thank you
Ok so I know this is a low budget but I have 256$ To spend to buy a desktop and need help, I'm new to having a computer but I know how to use one. So a desktop 250$ or less and could play gmod and minecraft smoothly would be fantastic if there's such a thing
I plan to use it for web browsing, light games like minecraft (not for me) etc. Which is more suitable:

I'm looking at modelling for a basic survival game that my friend will code. I've only ever worked with Minecraft level modelling or texturing (though my textures went beyond 16x16 to 256x256) and I've been told I'm pretty decent. I have a list of FREE modelling softwares below and if anyone could tell me which they think is best or if they've used them before were they good? Thanks in advance! (And yes I'm using Wikipedia links).

So I'm trying to join my friends game on minecraft but it says I'm offline and I'm not signed into psn. But I'm online and signed in!
Someone please help
So minecraft was just bought for about 2.5 billion and I'm wondering how much it would cost to buy COD and battlefield (individually)
Ok, so I have an HP Envy desktop PC. On MineCraft 1.6.4, I would get 300 FPS on max settings. So one day I came home from school, got on MineCraft, and My FPS dropped down to below 60 FPS, I turned all the setting down to the lowest possible and it still remains below 60 FPS with huge, constant lag spikes. I even allocated 4 gbs of ram to the game and it still hasn't fixed anything! Someone please tell me why this has happened!
I have a Dell Inspiron that I got in Febuary. I forget which model it was but it was $400 and has 4 GB of ram. I use it to play Minecraft and would like to have it run a little smoother by adding ram. So how much RAM can it handle and where would I get the parts to do it.
Does anyone know what the least expensive 17 inch 1920x1080 laptop is? I'm in search for a laptop, but I don't know if $1300 is what those laptops cost. I got one that I like but I don't know if it gives me good bang for my buck. I suppose I could also use it for playing games like WoW, Minecraft, BF3, etc. It's the Acer Aspire V3-772G-7660. Here are its specs from http://us.acer.com/...MMCAA.006:
