My son has version 1.7.9. And wants to add a gun mod. The gun mod says I need to install Forge. What is Forge? And how do I install it with out getting a virus? Is there any web site that would be of assistance to me?

Ok so I'm going to do my first adventure map in minecraft but I don't know what one I want to do. I want something where you don't have to download any mods or anything and easy. Is there anything that is good for beginners?

I was playing minecraft pc and i decided to go in a cave when my game started looking different the cave was surrounded with black blocks and i saw pictures of items in minecraft like a diamond pick and wooden shovel. And on one of the blocks i saw herobrines face. Now i freaked out and destroyed the world input the same seed and thought it was a bug but it happened again only that all of the blocks had herobrines face so i decided to stop using the seed this happened around update 1.4.7 i did end up using it in 1.5 and it was gone but i still wonder what happened. Know there are no videos about it and i don't expect you to believe me but it really did happen and it would make my day if you guys tell me if it was a glitch or a bug. And before people say did you have a mod installed no i did not. Hope someone tells what it was and thanks

I have the yogbox mod pack and i have built an airship with a 3x4 clear glass floor, 2 fence posts in each corner (so 8 fence posts) and 11 balloons plus the ship marker. I can sit in it by right clicking and i can slide forwards and backwards using awsd but i can't go up or down with space, shift, x, or y. Iv tried loading fuel (coal) by right clicking on it with the coal and pressing e whist sat in it but all it does is bring my inventory up and i still can't fly.
I know from watching so many other videos that you obviously need the.bin file. But when i go to minecraft on my finder (its a mac). I can't seem to find the.bin file in minecraft. But i can see resource packs, saves, logs, and mods. I have tried repeatedly to put the mod i want (the lucky block mod) in that mod folder but it won't work. I have also downloaded forge but it still did not work.
What's the mod called that shows you how to craft stuff on Minecraft?
Without mods, does anyone know any good commands?
