Do not buy an Athlon, Athlons were discontinued so you will only be able to find used ones on Ebay, or maybe get lucky on Amazon.
I'd suggest getting intel over AMD as well, I have had 2 AMD processors, I thought I liked them, but then they both began overheating at the exact same time after purchase!
The 250x is cabaple of running all games on medium-high settings, with that setup you should have no trouble running the games you request. The only games it would struggle with on high/ultra would be Far Cry 3 and BF3/4. It will still perform great on medium settings.
