They have stopped working for some reason. They just crash the game. They did work and I don't know why its suddenly stopped. Any Ideas? Its PC version

I have minecraft 1.7.9 and i wanted to know where i can download the dogcraft mod? And if i can't what are other cool mods for 1.7.9?
I'm new to pc minecraft and I'm trying to install the digimobs mod version 1.7.2. I watched a video and I did the steps(I have forge WinRAR etc.) I made a mods folder and I dragged it from WinRAR to the mods folder. The forge profile is working. The problem is when i start minecraft and i'm on the home it says three mods active when it should say 4(digimobs). I make a world and nothing is there just regular minecraft. I don't know where I went wrong. Me and my friend watched the same video and it worked for him but not me. Heres a link to the video

I'm new to the Thaumcraft mod for Minecraft and I'm wondering how to charge my wand. I've searched the web, but couldn't find it.
I just started fittle-farting around with Tinkers Construct today after hearing good things about it. The only problem is when I go to put lava in the seared tank it won't let me. It just places the lava on/above the tank. I tried shift clicking and all sorts of stuff and it's still not working. I know I built the smeltery right because the controller is lighting up like it's supposed to when you built it right. Anyways, anything will help. If for whatever reason we can't figure it out, I'll just re install the mod and see if that works… Thanks!
I'm just beginning minecraft and I don't understand the whole Mods thing… And what "forge" is. I understand that mods are things you download into minecraft or something and change your minecraft experience by changing the way blocks look, or adding in natural disasters or whatever… But how do I download mods, is there a site or something to explain what they actually are and how to put them onto minecraft?
I was just woundering what I need to upgrade in my desktop to play better games with no lag such as Far Cry3 Skyrim minecraft with X512 texturepack and mods saints row 3 & 4 etc…
