How to get Mods for Minecraft windows 8?

The last update is 1.7.9 I'm not sure how to find the jar file. Do I need a loader? How do I find the Meta inf file to delete. This is for some one ells's computer. I'm not quite used to windows 8 yet. I do not know where to find every thing. Lol

Why Does Minecraft Keep Crashing? - 1

I'm modded… A lot, and I'm trying to use Forge, but everytime I use it, on 1.6.4 right after the MAJONG screen, it crashes, and on 1.7.2, it just crashes without reaching the MAJONG screen. I don't know if it's because I have little memory, or I have too many mods, or whatever, but please help! Only answer if you're a computer genius, just saying.

The mods I'm using are for minecraft 1.5.2 (a couple of the mods still havn't been updated yet)
I know how to make a vanilla texture pack, but I want to know how to put mod textures in the packs.

Help when building a computer?

This summer, hopefully with my summer job, I'd like to build a gaming desktop. I'm trying to get away with as cheap as I can. However I would like to be able to run Minecraft, with maybe a couple of big mod packs, and Elder scrolls online. I also would like to play some BF4, but if that would be a ridiculous amount, than I'm fine playing that on Xbox 360. Also I would like to do some PC gameplay recording, and the ability to record with my Elgato on the Xbox. How much would I be looking at. Also if anyone has a guide, or could suggest the part, that would be helpful. Honestly I really can't do more than $550. I can sacrifice some things, but PC capture, elgato capturing, and Minecraft with some mods are a must.

How to Truly Copy Minecraft Worlds?

I like building in Minecraft and I want to use the towns I have made in older worlds and make direct copies of them. What I mean by copies everything from that world is copied not just the seed. Sadly, the copy function in Minecraft does not work.
I also don't the purpose of the recreate button. I'm using mods for 1.6.4 and I want to create two copies of my favorite world. One for the vanilla updates and the other for me to play in survival and to use my mods. Help please. I could elaborate more if it pleases!

My minecraft world disappeared after the game crashed?

I was playing and I tried to use a mod item and when I placed it the game crashed I loaded it back up and then my world was gone so I checked the minecraft saves folder and my world has been renamed to "new world" but the world is not showing up to select in minecraft how do I fix this please help

Looking for a good, but not too high budget laptop. What is a good choice?

I'm almost going to a college and I really need a new laptop. My current one is old and fails on me lots of times. My budget is about but lower is better as long as it's specifications match up to my needs. I DO need a laptop and not a desktop, as I need to mobile alot of the time. I use Adobe Photoshop and I program with Java alot. I don't do stuff like 3D editing or HD video editing.

I like gaming too. I play games like Minecraft, Garry's Mod, Terraria or DayZ. Those games don't really need alot of good specs. But I'd like to start playing games like Battlefield 4 as well. I don't have to be playing them with Ultra settings with very high fps. I just want to be able to play them on Medium or High settings and 1080p would be nice.

If anyone can help me with finding a good laptop that fits with me, I'd love to hear it. I also found an Acer Laptop which costs These are the specifications:
