Naval Deployment game ideas?

I'm getting ready to go on a seven month long deployment and am currently pulling my hair out trying to load my computer up with enough entertainment.
Basically I need games that are essentially single-player, as I won't have internet. My problem is that I've played most of the common suggestions.
Any suggestions and recommendations would be very appreciated. I tend to lean more towards rpg style games, but I'm a heavy gamer and will enjoy anything.

Things I've played:
Morrowind & Oblivion: Completed multiple times and hold no interest to me anymore even with mods.
Skyrim: Completed the game, but I still find it fun. I know it won't last me seven months, though.
Minecraft: I've been playing since infdev, so the only fun i have with it anymore is in online tekkit servers with friends.

I've been stuck on a laggy old pc for ages and i'm sick of the laggy minecraft, like when i run mods its so laggy. I just want a very good! PC! That runs minecraft as smooth as possible and is very speedy.

Macbook vs Macbook Pro for School?

I like the portability of the new Macbook especially for school. I also like being an early adopter and the thought of getting a computer before my friends excites me. This computer would need to last me several years writing essays and doing light gaming such as mincraft and Garry s mod with the possibility of slightly more intense games (maybe call of duty). Would the Macbook (gold PT black?) be enough or should I play it safe and go for the pro? BTW I'm going to be a junior in high school this year and the only other device I have is an iphone 6.

Minecraft Mod folder/Galacticraft Mod/ I'ma freaking idiot

I don't have or know how to get a mod folder into my 1.8 Minecraft game, and I would very much like to play Galacticraft Mod. Can anyone please help me? I'm desperate at this point after scowering everywhere. The Gakaticraft has 3 files that need to be in the mod folder, so the deleting the META file didn't work (and if it's suppose to, then I clearly ****** up and need a step-by-step, explanation for a simpleton such as myself).

Gaming computer suggestion?

Okay so I'm saving up to get a gaming computer, but I'm not to good with like specs and stuff so I need help. What's the best computer to go for? I want one that like gaming youtubers have. Not to extortionate but one that I can play games on. Some games I want to play:
Call of Duty: World at War
Counter Strike: Global Offensive
Garry's Mod
Maybe Minecraft
GTA V
Also some other trending games like them in the future or what I might find interesting in the future.
P.S I want all these games to run smoothly.
