Can you just simply buy/download them off of the minecraft website? Or do you need mods for it?
p.s. Are there any differences between the console and pc version? Or are they pretty much the same?
Every time I download a mod for minecraft it won't let me install it. Most tutorials I looked at used Java to install it. I install Java but it won't use it. It uses internet explorer and it won't change. I have no idea how to fix this. Any tips will help!
I'm (hopefully) close to graduating college. I've had my current computer since I was a freshman in college. My current computer s stats are a mid 2010 MacBook with a 2.4 GHz Processor, a 250 GB disk, and NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256 MB graphics. I want something better. I need a laptop that can support Office programs like Powerpoint, Word, and Excel. Also, I LOVE playing Minecraft. However, I have the WORST lag ever. I need a computer that plays Minecraft well and also is compatible with Minecraft mods. Oh, and ITunes. Any suggestions?
Added (1). Oops, since I was a freshman in high school, I meant. Also, I forgot to say that my budget is $800-1,600. I prefer to go to the lower range though.
Okay, so I'm trying to download minecraft mods onto my USB. I thought I got mods onto my USB but for some reason when I plug my USB into my PS3 it says that there's no saved data. Maybe I didn't put the mods on the USB correctly or something? So, I would appreciate if someone could take me step by step on downloading mods onto my USB and then onto my PS3.
Ps. I've watched tons of videos online and they haven't helped at all.
Minecraft is stuck at logging in?
Added (1). Minecraft is stuck at logging in. It doesn't work on any multiplayer server. The mods i have are NEI, chickencore thing, custom NPCS, dynamic lights, eyemod, lootable bodies, crayfish furniture, simple refinement.
Added (2). I'm running on 1.8. All my mods are 1.8. I'm on PC.
Okay, so, I've been trying to do this for a few days now, but it isn't working. I've followed various "How To's" and still nothing.
Here's what I've done;
I've downloaded Forge and ran it's profile on Minecraft.
I've copied the Mo'Creatures and Custom Mob Spawner zips into my.minecraft/mods folder.
Now, Forge runs fine. But it doesn't seem to want to add the others to my game.
Hey I'm 13 so this might need to be dumbed down a little, but I'm a PC gamer and currently have the HP ENVY Phoenix 810-460 (heres a link http://store.hp.com/...ame=specs) and the monitor is here http://store.hp.com/...eats-audio. This was my first major gaming PC. (I had a laptop before but it was horrible) I will probably just keep updating it as time goes on, but I basically just need to know about the parts of a computer. What I don't understand is what makes one motherboard better than another, how the same amount of gigabytes/terrabytes on one harddrive might be worse or better than the same amount on a different type, basically I don't understand what a video card is, et cetera. Can someone basically just give me a somewhat dumbed down lesson of what everything does and does not do?
P.S. On it I play all games from Call of duty to Garry's Mod to minecraft to some retro.

I tried taking out all the mods except one but it still wouldn't work! I even tried different ones to see if that one was the problem. But still no solution!
Ok so i recently attempted to create a mod for minecraft and downloaded all the necessary items and added the path ect but i then i kinda gave up and decided to just delete the recently installed items, but as i kind of expected it ruined my minecraft. I used the minecraft installer to repair and i even re-installed minecraft after uninstalling it with the same installer, the issue that i'm having is that i'm no longer able to load mods to my minecraft. And after doing the things i stated to no avail i'm still unable to use mods. If anyone is able to assist me it d be greatly appreciated. If you need any further info please feel free to ask and I ll try and answer as thoroughly as I can
