Monecraft split screen won't work anymore on my Xbox360?

I recently got Xbox Gold for my Xbox 360 on my birthday (May 6th). Now every time I attempt to play split screen (on Minecraft) it won't even register the icon that says join.
Every thing is perfect back in the t.v. (HDMI cord is all set up.) The tv s also a good tv that does work on multiplayer (Minecraft).
We used to play all the time so I know it's not the tv. So please help me fix this problem.

Minecraft won't work on my Xbox One, even after I bought it. Can someone

So around two weeks ago, I ordered the digital copy of Minecraft off of amazon, straight to my Xbox. (If you don't know how it works, you pay, and are given a code, you then enter the code into your Xbox and you've bought Minecraft! Or at least, that's how it's supposed to work.) So instead of entering the code on my Xbox, there was an option where I could start the download from my computer. So when I entered in the code, it said it was downloading. So I went to my Xbox and realized that the game had not yet downloaded. When I tried to enter the code again on my Xbox, it said it had already been taken (because I had entered it in on my computer). So I was really disappointed and confused that I had wasted my money.
Flash forward to a week later, I was getting on my Xbox, and I thought, "Hey, I'll try this one more time." And it worked! I could play Minecraft, and I did so for about five hours. I was super pumped, and just assumed that it took time to download.
Flash forward even more to last night. I was going to play with a friend on a survival world, and when I tried to play, it said "Continue your free trial". Now, I had downloaded the free trial a while back, before I had ordered the digital copy of the game. Confused, I tried to open the game a million different ways and every time, it would tell my that I was playing the tutorial. So I don't know what to do.
Also, my Xbox was being really strange. As soon as I would log in, it would log me back out again.

How do I transfer minecraft worlds from my Xbox 360 to my Xbox One?

To give a little background… The Xbox One came with minecraft on it already as a bundle, I'm saying because I saw on a website I need to purchase it again in order to transfer but for only 4.99, but it is already on the Xbox. So, how can I do it? Do I transfer them using a flash drive?

Minecraft: Any Minecraft Nerds on here? Has anyone on Xbox found beets?

I don't know if there are any Minecraft nerds on here but I've been playing the past few days and I don't know why I decided to try and find beets as it was shown in one of the soups and I serched for a while to not find any. I'm assuming they have got to be in the game if it's in the crafting recipes but I can't find them.

Also, what are some other cool things to find in game, I'm totally out of the loop with Minecraft but my dads been playing and my world has to be cooler than his

Minecraft world has no end portal. Can a home one help me find a solution to this?

I'm home for my first summer away from college and some old friends and I have, nostalgically, gotten back into Minecraft. We made a really old world in about 2013 - just before the Xbox one was announced or came out or whatever - on the Xbox 360, and we recently exported that world to the Xbox One. Somehow, even AFTER utilizing the "Reset The End" option, our eyes of ender bring us to the middle of the ocean (X:-45 Y:40 Z:68 to be exact) and they just dance around on the bottom of the deep sea. Normally this would mean the stronghold is somewhere below it, however after digging for hours all the way to bedrock and back, AND using TNT, we have found nothing but stone and coal. When we use the eyes under the previously stated coordinate, they fly directly up, and when we use them above, they fly down. I can't imagine what could possibly be causing this other than maybe we just don't have an end portal and its making the eyes glitch? I feel like I remember the end being a thing before we made the world, but I just might be wrong. Sorry this is so long, I just wanted to be as clear as possible. Also we HAVE increased the world size to Medium, so we have a 3x3 World map. Should I try going to the other maps and trying the eyes? The middle map we use is mostly ocean save for a section of
island in the northeast which is where we have our "base" set up. The rest are more land based, but would be terribly inconvenient if the end portal was that far away
