How To get the minecraft avatar edition?

I saw my friend playing Minecraft but there was something different about it. Instead of the blockhead avatar, it showed his xbox 360 avatar instead. Also the pickaxe wasn't all blocky too, it looked like a regular pickaxe. Even the zombies, skeletons weren't blockheaded either. There were also dragons! I didn't get the chance to ask, I research it but I can't find a specific answer. Question is how do I get it? Is it only for PC or can I download it somewhere on Xbox live?

Should I buy an xbox one or a ps4?

I have a ps3 now and I'm sort of leaning towards an xbox one because TitanFall and Halo. But I also want a ps4 for the next Infamous and Planetside 2 which is a game that I was really looking forward to. I also don't really enjoy the whole 'paying for xbox live' thing. How much does xbox live cost? And also I already have minecraft for ps3 and I don't want to buy it again and start over on xbox one.

Any really good seeds for minecraft Xbox 360 Edition?

Preferably: seeds with any villages, possible ones that have a saddle in a chest ( I really NEED a saddle!) , good dungeons, or any with underground mineshafts. Technically just the BEST SEEDS Please
