Minecraft Xbox: connection to server lost on a single player world?

On a minecraft Xbox world I accidentally reset the nether whilst I was inside it, now when ether I try to load up the world it seems to load up a completely empty world for about half a second then closes and said connection lost, is there a way to fix this or is my world gone for good?

Minecraft Xbox 360 Trial Versions of Texture packs won't load when console is offline?

So I have recently updated the game awhile ago and I have now noticed that with all the textures packs I have downloaded (the texture packs I downloaded the trial versions of) so what happens is if I select one of them and then try to load one of my save worlds when I'm not connected to Xbox Live I get a message saying "This feature requires a gamer profile which is signed into Xbox Live." to make things worse when I hit okay there are no dialoge boxs on the screen except for the scrolling background in the lower left corner it shows the A and B buttons A for Select and B for Back neither of them do nothing here the only I can get out of that is to either exit the game or sign out of my gamer profile now if I'm connected to Xbox Live and then try to load a trial version texture pack the message says "You are using a trial version of the texture pack. You will not be able to save this world unless you unlock the full version. Would you like to unlock the full version of the texture pack?" now I choose okay it takes me to where you would purchase it at but I hit cancel it just loads the world with that texture pack but I hit cancel it just loads the world with that texture pack my only guess of what's happening is that the message it gives me when connected to Xbox Live is conflicting with the game making it think that these texture packs have sort of feature that only used when online (Ran out of room will have to continue question details in updates)

Added (1). Texture packs don't have online features the conflict is making the game think it does which is why I get a message like that when I try to load a trial version texture pack offline but its really trying to take you to that thing to purchase the full version of it & it can't do it when its not connected so it gives you the message it has a feature requiring the gamer profile to be connected to Xbox Live to load it So why is this happening now I didn't have this problem before updating the game

What game console should I buy my kids?

I'm looking to buy my kids a game console. So far they have been playing on my old school Nintendo and Game cube as well as some games online. They are boys, 7 and 8. Minecraft is a must and my son would love to play games like Halo, but I would also like some more younger games similar to lego, mario, etc. Also I would love to save money if possible. For example, would it be a mistake to buy an Xbox 360 instead of an Xbox One?
