Minecraft Server. People can't join?

So i made a minecraft server i port forwarded my ipv4 address, and its a vanilla server from minecraft.net but when i give peopel my local ip with the 25565 port they can't join please help!

What to do if you're permanently banned on a Minecraft server?

Nearly a year ago, I was banned from my favorite server, which I had been on for over a year. Despite not having any hacks, the staff still claimed that I did. I'm banned from the service website, because my ban appeal was denied. Basically, there's no way I can go back there on my old account. I've tried using other accounts, but since I'm IP banned, those got banned as well.

How can I still play on this server? Would I need to get a completely new router? A new computer? I know I'd need to make a new account, but I'm not sure how I could bypass the IP ban.

Added (1). I don't want to join another server. This server was completely unique, and every single server that's even similar pales in comparison.

Minecraft server is having port issues, and I can't figure out what's wrong?

My firewall isn't blocking it, I know i port forwarded it correctly, but www.canyouseeme.org says the port 25565 is closed. I can connect with my internal up and local host, but everyone else and I can't connect with my external ip. (I'm using the latest 1.6.4 build bukkit has, because I have problems with 1.7.9).

My Minecraft Server IP won't work for other people?

So I JUST made a minecraft server and gave the IP address to a friend. He then said that the IP I gave him (I'm pretty sure this was right because it says that this is the IP in the server notepad) didn't work.
Help? ;-;

Added (1). I forgot to mention,
the IP worked for me.

First off I'm kind of new to pc gaming. Second I can't download craftbukkit. It says it has been taken down. I need to know what to download and how to make it work in a server step by step. Also everything I look up about it is 3+ years old so not very helpful. Please help I've spent 4+ hours trying to work this out.

I want a server to play on that isn't packed with dramatic little kids I just want to play the game.
