Creating a new minecraft server?

Ok, so my nephew got me playing minecraft and I was just wondering on what it takes to host your own minecraft server. I was told something about plugins and what not but not sure on what that all completely means. I have an idea on what I want to do in the server but no idea how to implement it. Does it require knowledge in coding or are there different resources I can get a hold of. Think of me as somebody that doesn't know much of anything about minecraft. If there's anything you can tell me or give me links so I can read up on it myself. That'd be great.

How to solve this problem?

I wanted to make my own business on the Internet by making a Minecraft server and also making some stories and guides to sell but first I need to purchase a website and then make my PayPal. I'm 13 years old, my Mom won't make me do it, she doesn't trust Internet. You know elderlies don't know much about Internet. I wanted to but she doesn't agree. I did my best at school and got high grades and I told her to give me paypal and then she still doesn't give an exchange for my hard work. Can anyone help me or give advices that can make me understand my mother.

Need A Server/host For My Game?

I have been looking last three weeks for a host for my Minecraft server. One that will allow me to add plugins and have about 20 players. But I've been running around in circles with all these bad reviews and prices that are all over the table. Really, I feel like a host that was made just for one type of game was just thrown together and their services would not be that good. So I've started looking for hosts that do multiple games in hope it would be easier to find one for Minecraft. But it's even harder to find than the first thing I have been trying to do. I guess the thing I need help with the most right now is some search tips/words or if you just know a server/host tell me below.

Any ways to bypass spigot?

So on minecraft, i use the hacked client, 'wurst'. My problem is i want to use jetpack, but spigot blocks me from it. Some servers don't have filters, but they are not servers i know or are in very early development. Few servers let me use antimac, but i don't want to use weird fly mode… I want to use all hacks on wurst while bypassing spigot…

Minecraft defend your base server?

Was wondering if there was any type of mini game on minecraft which allowed you to build your own base then battle against others in a team game. Both teams having equal equipment and being able to build your defensive base, if anyone has any servers like this or similar please answer, thank you

TNT Cannons won't work on Bukkit Server?

Ok, so I tried making a TNT cannon -yes I'm 14 and I still play minecraft- on my bukkit server and used the same exact design as when I tested it on my survival server. However, it didn't work on my server (it did work in survival). I have no plugins on my bukkit server right now. I used a similar cannon to this one with a few adjustments to make it better. On the server, when i light the tnt that should launch the other one, rather than staying in the water, it glitches (probably) and jumps on top of the TNT cannon where it explodes, blowing up the cannon, any ideas on how to fix this?

Minecraft end portal doesn't work?

My minecraft end portal don't work.
The portal is all set up has the actual portal but can't go thru it to go to the end?
I'm on my private minecraft server 1.8.9
Haven't seen if any way to turn it on in a config or server properties:/

Minecraft- How does Herobrine work?

My little brother LOVES mine craft. Recently, he updated mine craft on his iPod, so now he can do more things. Earlier today, a server came up called Herobrine and he entered. Herobrine was there walking, building etc. My brother was able to have a conversation with him and Herobrine knew where he was.
Who's behind Herobrine?
How does it work because I thought he was just like a mine craft pig! You can't communicate with them!
Is someone talking to my brother over a screen. And if so is it something I should be worried about? How did he find my brother?
