How to reduce lag on my Minecraft server?

I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, 6GB of 1333Mhz RAM, an Intel Celeron B820 CPU, Intel HD Graphics 4000 and a 320GB HDD. Every time I play on my Minecraft server, it lags. I have allocated 1GB of RAM to the server. It is a server that I play on with two friends. I play with Smooth Lighting set to "Off", my Render Distance is at 2 chunks, Clouds are set to "Off" and I've set the "javaw.exe" system process's priority to "High". What else can I do to reduce the lag?

Minecraft server freezes after 5 seconds of play?

When I go onto a specific server I can only move for 5 seconds before it freezes and it says Java(tm) has stopped working. Only one server is doing this and the IP is Cityscape.co if that helps. The server is 1.7.

Can your Terms and Conditions be anything?

I've been making a Terms and Conditions for a donation store for minecraft and i was wondering if anything i write on it is binded as a legal contract without no hassel?
Or do i need to verify it with a company? I'm a little confused.

For example:

1) You are making a "donation" to our server, regardless of the terms used by any third party company (Enjin, Paypal) In return we're giving you a "gift" for your donation. You are responsible for this gift, and you will not be refunded. Everything that is, or was said to be given to you, does not NEED to be given. The items/perks are a way for us to say thank you for keeping the server running.

Am i allowed to say that? OR do i need to verify it with a company to make it a legal binding.

SORRY IF THIS IS IN THE WRONG CATEGORY.

Minecraft safely hosting server?

None of my friends own minecraft so I want to meet new people online and host a server just me and that other person. I heard Hamachi is not safe with people you don't know and that is what I was planning on using. So please an EASY/SAFE way to host a private server with someone I barely know.

Added (1). Also it has to be FREE please

Minecraft Server can't resolve hostname?

I have a minecraft server up and running, and my roommate can't seem to get on it. It says can't resolve hostname. I know for a fact he has everything typed in correctly and his firewalls are turned off. Any idea what it could be?

Added (1). The server is set up completely. Ports are forwarded, Both me and him have the newest versions of FTB and the server is updated to the newest version. Me and another friend can get on it but for some reason he can't. I'm sure we're doing something wrong, but i have no idea what.

IP Address forwarding for Minecraft [Bukkit]?

I'm trying to either host or play on a Minecraft Bukkit server with my sister and neither of us can get our Minecraft servers to work.
I tried everything I could think of, I did the 'raw' download of the server files from the Minecraft.net website, I did Forum tutorials, and I even tried an automatic-setup-bukkit server program and so far, I've only have 1 positive result.

I'm no idiot, and I'm not technologically challenged, my port, 25565, for Minecraft is open, the server is running, and I've even connected to it locally with my own (wireless) 192.168.XXX.XXX:25565 IP, and by the TRUE IP, 24.240.XXX.XXX:25565 and I've jonied it, but when my sister tries, she gets a time-out error every time.
I disconnected the ethernet cable between my modem and my wireless router and connected straight into the internet connection coming directly from my ISP giving my computer the same local and true IP, bypassing my, and therefore not broadcasting, wi-fi, which every laptop, phone, and other computer is connected to, as well as the phone system we have, and my sister was able to join by connecting with the ip 24:240.XXX.XXX:25565.
However, I can't possible disallow everything in the house access to the internet just to host a Minecraft server on my laptop as well as she the fact that she wants to host the server so she can keep the most recent world files on her computer, since it started off as her world in the first place.

The ISSUE that I believe we're having is that the modem and the router aren't communicating correctly and that when I try to connect to her server, my Minecraft game IS making it to her MODEM, but it doesn't know how, or won't, sent my computer to hers to connect to the server due to it giving her a local, 10.0.XXX.XXX, ip address.

The QUESTION(finally) is /how/ do I get her modem-router(they're the same device, unlike at my house) to forward my Minecraft game to her computer so it can connect to her server?

Why can't i connect to any minecraft servers?

I currently run 1.7.2 and when i click multiplayer and open the server panel All OF THEM ARE RED AND SAY: Can't connect to server. It didn't do this before! How can i fix this!
