Give me some specs for a cheap >$750 minecraft server build? - 1

The computer is strictly for a public server, the case size is micro atx, and if possible to save on costs run off of 300W. Also please don't link a website that has a guide or anything my parental controls glitched and blocks off certain computer related websites.

What is the difference between minecraft version 1.7.2 and 1.6.4?

I run a minecraft server an am currently trying to push a downgrade; However, players on my server fear the changes in features between the new versions without knowing what exactly will change.

I believe downgrading to 1.6.4 will be a great help for plugin/mod compatibility but I don't know the changes between each version.

So what exactly is the difference between 1.7.2 and 1.6.4

Having problems connecting to a private minecraft server?

Me and my friend play Minecraft together on a private server over a hamachi network. For the 2 years or so we have done this no problems have come up until now. I will join his server and be on for about 15 seconds until I get kicked for losing connection. Hamachi shows no connection problems and no one else on our server is having this problem. I have tried several things to fix this (reinstalling both Minecraft and hamachi, changing hamachi settings, rejoining the hamachi network) but nothing I have done has worked. Does anyone have any solutions for this?

How much data does Minecraft use?

My current home wireless internet plan only allows for 20GB of data per month and I share it with one other person. We don't get internet on our cell phones so this data is used for everything we do online. Whether it's a little or a lot, I would like to know the average amount of data that is used in these areas of Minecraft:

- Multiplayer Servers (SMP)
- Singleplayer LAN (Open to LAN)
- Singleplayer Worlds (SSP)
- Signed In (NOT offline mode)

I would like to continue to play Minecraft online, but I'm nervous that I will use up a lot of the monthly limit. I would also like to know the average amount of data being signed into Steam uses while I'm playing singleplayer games as well as multiplayer games. I have heard plenty of answers to this question ranging from it uses a few MB every hour to hundreds every few seconds so I don't know what to believe. I would like a truthful answer so please don't guess if you don't honestly know.

How to increase RAM on a Minecraft FTB server?

I have had servers up in the past but I'm doing a new one for FTB (using direwolf modpack). In game it works fine and runs with no problems. When I try and start the server, the memory usage is capped at like 247mb or something weird. I have gone into the batch files and upped them to 1gig and even up to 4gig trying to see if it would do anything but it always stays at a 247mb cap.

I have checked around and there are no files which should be causing the cap.
Due to it not having enough memory, I can't even start the server first time to generate the world.

How do I give it more memory so I can just get the world up and running?

Added (1). Its a Jar file
