Guys i'm trying to play minecraft on my windows 8.1 laptop but it won't let me can i download older version of java or does it have to be the latest version if i can please put a link in your answer
So, i'm unaware as to what could possibly causing this, as well as how to describe it.
I've run AVG PC tuneup, which always fixes the problems i can't solve myself, however, the issue persists. I've updated my drivers, my browsers, and my games, yet it persists.I'm running windows 8, on an HP pavilion laptop. I got it a few days ago, a bit over a week, and I don't think i want to bring it in on a store warranty so soon. It seems silly to bring it in for an issue like this. Now, onto the issue: I'm not sure how to describe, so i'll simply describe some of the symptoms i've seen. Firstly, on google chrome, i can't type in the address bar, at all. When I mouse over it, there's no response. I've updated chrome and all, and at first i thought it was just chrome, as other browsers seem to be working fine. Another common problem that has occurred ffrom this error is when i try to open minecraft, my mouse will hover over, and highlight the launch links, but not be able to execute anything. This problem persists in similar launchers and flash animations. My next issue: When i can get into games, at some point or another, the mouse will suddenly appear on screen, and next time I have to click, it will simply exit out of the game. I will alt-tab into another window, and it will be open until I click anywhere in the window, at which point it will close. One last common symptom: when I can navigate through google chrome, and i want to switch tabs, the tab I click on closes. These are minor inconveniences, but solving them is no less important to me than if my motherboard mysteriously died. I'm sorry I couldn't be more specific, or get to the point, i'm just puzzled at what this could possibly be.
Added (1). Whatever it may be, the problem is almost definitely with my cursor, and not with the USB mouse I use.
I was mining for diamonds when i fell into a cave and decided to look for more diamonds down there, i ran out of torches but kept wandering and mining when i fell down to this place where it had railroad things and all so i was looking down there and now i'm lost. I think i'm making myself even more lsot trying to find my way out of this place. I don't really have that many supplies and i don't know how to make a compass i know i need redstone but i don't know where to find that. Is there anything i can do to find my way out? I'm playing on my computer and i set it to survival mode.
If it does I know it won't be the best performance but I'm just wondering if it will run it
Probbaly 500-550 i will also need a monitor unless any monitor will work with it or is a laptop with a USB mouse be better i'm just worried that the laptop charging plug in spot will break if my little sister uses it
Please help?! So today after being in bed all day playing minecraft (Sick) I had to use the bathroom, when I went I noticed my urine is Dark Yellow/Orange color for the first time, I was wondering and googled it, and all the answers said you must have tooken a drug, Impossible for me I'm only 13 - 2. (not allowed to ask question if not 13 or older) I don't know if this is something to do with puberty. Please not I haven't had my period yet. Help I'm freaking out!

I need a new laptop to replace my old one. I need one that can run games like Minecraft, LoL, Starcraft 2 on medium settings would be good. It can go a bit over my budget range.

My daughters play Minecraft and up until now they have been sharing an account. (I don't play Minecraft and don't know much about it). Now, my younger daughter wants her own account. She claims that creating a new profile doesn't do anything and that she needs an entirely new account. And she claims that we don't need to pay to buy Minecraft again - that somehow our existing purchase can be shared across two accounts.
So, I created a new account for her, but when we log in it just says Play Demo. And it seems to indicate that we need to buy Minecraft again.
Can someone please explain to me two things:
1) Do you think that we need to buy Minecraft again to have a separate account? If not, how do I link our two accounts together?
2) Why isn't it good enough just to create a new profile under our existing account?
Added (1). the purpose of having a second account is not so that they can play at the same time (we only have 1 computer). The purpose is so that they can have different worlds, usernames and stuff.
I've been searching for some friends that I can hang out with online when I'm not busy with working on projects or homework. Something that screams kawaii and friendliness. Something for people usually 12+ where the people seem to have emotion. Let me give you an example of what I don't want:

Me: "Uh… Yeah."

This is something I DREAD. I'm 16 and friendly with a good personality; adventurous and I need interesting facts and experiences without the hassle of getting a car and using gas money to pick people up, take them out and just talk. Like ew. I could go out and meet people but this is for when I don't feel like doing anything on the weekend and just chatting and meeting lots of new people that are at least somewhat intelligent and have emotion. I've tried Roblox and wow… It's just a bunch of swagfags, brainwashed fools, and idiots, plus some little children. I need something like a social networking or game that deals with meeting people and just having fun. Not so much adults tho… If you catch my drift o~o. Heh, but yeah, if there's any game thats like Roblox or Facebook but more for teens and maybe up to 21ish with some Anime hinted in there if possible; that would be great.
